A Mediation Analysis For Agency And Turnover Intentions: A Cross-Sectional Inquiry For Army Talent Management, Joshua P. Cowin
Doctoral Dissertations and Projects
The study contributed to theoretical and practical implications for retention. Targeting a population of mid-career soldiers in the United States Army, the predictor variable of interest was agency and its relationship with turnover intentions. The Army was a good candidate organization for this study because contemporary recruitment pressures and higher-than-average attrition rates place increasing importance on the effectiveness of organizational retention efforts. Accordingly, this study aligned research questions with a mediation model wherein agency influenced the relationships affective commitment, needs-supply fit, and career satisfaction held with turnover intentions. The hypotheses for this study were: (a) that agency significantly influenced turnover …

The central research question in this study is: How do athletics directors describe their leadership experiences in a faith-based, small college intercollegiate athletics setting? The phenomenological research using …

Nebraska Monthly Economic Indicators: April 24, 2024, Eric Thompson
Leading Economic Indicator Reports
The Leading Economic Indicator-Nebraska fell by 1.31% in March 2024. The increase in the leading indicator, which is designed to predict economic growth six months into the future, followed a very rapid 3.97% increase in February. Taken together, the February and March values continue to imply strong growth in the Nebraska economy in mid-2024. A decline in building permits for single-family homes contributed to the drop in the LEI-N during March. There also was a decline in manufacturing hours worked after a sharp February increase. On the positive side, business expectations remained strong in March. Respondents to the March Survey …

Incorporating Safety Excellence Into Urban Air Mobility (Uam): Insights From Commercial Aviation, Rotorcraft, And Unmanned Aerial Systems (Uas), Seyoung "Evie" Jang
Senior Honors Theses
This paper focused on safety considerations in Urban Air Mobility (UAM) through a cross-industry examination of commercial aviation, rotorcraft, and unmanned aerial systems (UAS). Although UAM promises transformative benefits, there are safety concerns remaining. Based on the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)’s Concept of Operations (ConOps), the literature review explained the fundamental concepts of UAM. In commercial aviation, regulatory framework, pilot training and certification, vehicle design and maintenance, and emergency response planning are emphasized. For rotorcraft, safety requirements for vertical flight, collision avoidance systems, heliport standards, and weather adaptability are crucial. Leveraging UAS advancements, the study suggested autonomous systems, sense-and-avoid technology, …

After the Global Financial Crisis, the U.S. housing market has been studied extensively from several dimensions to assess the causes for the price crash during 2007–2012. In this paper, we formulate five hypotheses about the behavior of housing prices and introduce two important innovations: first we extend the sample period, from January 1987 to August 2023, to assess whether the common determinants that drove housing prices during the GFC also moved housing dynamics during the essentially zero interest rate and pandemic periods. Second, we formulate five hypotheses and employ a dynamic econometric modelling approach to empirically investigate the drivers of …

This research addresses the effect of COVID-19 on three different electronic payment apps, Venmo, PayPal, and Zelle. A comparative longitudinal analysis shows the increase in total transactions from …
