The 2017 National Food Waste Strategy takes this a step further, requiring a halving of all food loss and waste by 2030. With Australia wasting 7.6 million tonnes of food per year either target is a monumental task. Using a hand collected sample of annual corporate ESG reports, I propose to study the link between CEO compensation and ESG performance and its implications for firm performance. Using stakeholder theory, I propose that companies that link CEO pay with ESG outcomes would perform better in the stock market. This is conditional on other variables, such as diversity of the board and ESG report status.

Background: Crowding and boarding pediatric emergency departments (ED) is an ongoing problem associated with a mismatch in resources and patient care demands. ED boarding can be defined as a patient admitted to an inpatient unit who remains in the ED. ED boarding occurs when there is limited availability of inpatient bed space – either due to patient volume or decreased staffing. ED boarding is associated with adverse events, and increased mortality. Few studies address the impact of inpatient strategies on ED boarding. Two immersive, interdisciplinary courses focused on music festival culture were created as part of a university study away program. This paper provides a pedagogical framework for educators interested in offering a similar educational experience for their students. The first part of the paper provides a summary of how the Bonnaroo U program came into being. This includes a discussion of the components necessary to build a music festival curriculum. Best practices in building sustainable relationships with festival promoters and of festival site logistics concludes the paper.

In the dynamic digital marketplace, content moderation policies, specifically those addressing 'review bomb' removal, are designed to improve customer experience, nurture consumer trust, and enhance firm performance. However, our comprehensive research, comprising three studies utilizing real-world field data analyzed through regression discontinuity-in-time design and experimental investigations, reveals a surprisingly striking paradox. In contrast to their intended benefits, these policies yield an unexpected adverse impact on user behavior, the e-commerce platform, and listed product performance, resulting in a significant 27.25% drop in total users for products on the e-commerce platform. The Federal Government needs to stop the import, export, mining, and distribution of talcum powder in the United States. This is an issue that affects all Americans, especially active-duty military members.

Since 2013, there have been over 38,000 lawsuits against Johnson & Johnson, which allege that their talcum-based baby powder caused cancer. The plaintiffs in the very first talc case in the U.S. have died. All four of the plaintiffs from a 2019 suit have died. Yet, the 2019 case has been reversed and remanded. The FDA has redacted the names of scientist(s) that conduct “safety tests” on talc samples. …
