Electronic negotiations are business negotiations conducted via electronic means using information and communications technologies (ICT). Two dominant types of electronic negotiation systems are automated negotiation systems for software agents and negotiation support systems (NSSs) for humans. However, the integration of two types for human-agent negotiations is an important task. In this paper, an extended communication model for human-agent business negotiations is presented. For this purpose, the underlying communication models of automated negotiations and NSSs are analyzed. With the rapid growth of social media, new challenges are being created for each process of supply chain management (SCM). In order to take advantage of the great potential of social media, managers and designers of SCM systems need to figure out ways to employ social media to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of their systems. This study is based on a systematic, multi-judge Q-sort assessment and analysis of a specified universe of reported early-stage cases and examples of social media usage in SCM contexts. This poster summarizes the research highlights of a project conducted as part of an National Science Foundation (NSF) partnership for research and education. The objective of this multidisciplinary, international project was to conduct research on microfluidic technology and applications. Performance feedback has been used to successfully modify behaviors in an assortment of workplace settings. Adding behavioral consequences and/or goal settings to feedback improves the overall behavioral effects and consistencies. When goal settings and feedback are combined, they have been proven to affect performance positively by increasing the information and motivation needed to execute work tasks in their entirety. The current study examined the effects of goal setting and graphic feedback on closing task completion in a nationwide drugstore chain.
