Employees with low job satisfaction are less likely than employees with average or high job satisfaction to achieve organizational productivity objectives. Owners of U. S. companies lose an estimated $605 billion each year in productivity due to low employee job satisfaction. Employee disengagement in the healthcare industry negatively affects individual and organizational outcomes. Grounded in the transformational leadership theory, the purpose of this qualitative single case study was to explore strategies healthcare managers used to promote employee engagement. Participants comprised six healthcare managers in New Jersey, who successfully used employee engagement strategies to increase organizational productivity and growth. The Relationship Between Human Capital, Productivity, And Profitability, Neema Carolina Eleyae

In the industrial structure of Nigeria, lack of profitability, scarcity of human capital, and low productivity have resulted in the failure of many business organizations. Business leaders must maintain profitability to continue funding their business organizations in the future. Grounded in human capital theory, the purpose of this quantitative correlational study was to examine the relationship between human capital, productivity, and profitability among organizations listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange. Archival data records (N = 836) between 2005 and 2019 were examined. The overall multiple linear regression model was able to significantly predict profitability: F (2, 833) = 79.35, p < .01, R2 = .158. Human capital was statistically significant (t = 12.548, p < .01, β = .400); productivity was not significant. A key recommendation for organizational leaders and policymakers in Nigeria is to increase higher education and general knowledge investments to improve the quality of human capital in the country, particularly in the services, construction, and information technology industries. Implications for positive social change include the potential for increased profitability and sustainability of organizations listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange, which will be better equipped to compete globally through a skilled, well-educated workforce.

Project failure results in adverse productivity and viability of construction organizations. Construction leaders are concerned with project failure because it disrupts construction organizations' ability to be more profitable and sustainable. Grounded in the theory of constraints, the purpose of this quantitative correlational study was to examine the relationship between project cost estimates, project scheduling, and project success. Archival data were collected from 110 construction companies in Liberia. The results of the standard multiple linear regression analysis indicated the full model was statistically significant, F(2,110) = 40.85, p < .001, R2 = .433. The project cost was statistically significant, p <.001; project scheduling was not significant, p = .286. A key recommendation is for project managers to exploit relevant project management training and other capacity development efforts to effectively manage project costs and schedules for success. AbstractScholars have studied dissent in general, but few have focused on the impact of cultural contexts and characteristics on dissent. Literature on the influence of cultural factors on expression of disagreement in organizations, by immigrant Nigerian workers in the US has not received adequate attention. There is therefore a compelling need to bridge this gap.
