In this paper, we outline how recruiting and talent acquisition gained importance within HRM field, then give a brief introduction to the newest tools used by the professionals for recruiting and lastly, describe the Artificial Intelligence-based tools that have started playing an increasingly important role. We also provide further research suggestions for using artificial intelligence-based tools to make recruiting more efficient and cost-effective.

World Economic Forum publishes the Networked Readiness Index (NRI) annually, to reflect the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) status of different countries. The NRI is developed by aggregating 53 indicators. The study identifies the most critical indicators to focus on, to improve the NRI status of countries at different stages of economic development. It uses data from 117 countries and analyzes the changes in the indicators along with their impacts between the years 2012 and 2016. Motivated by incongruences between today’s complex data, problems and requirements and available methodological frameworks, we propose data quilting as a means of combining and presenting the analysis of multiple types of data to create a single cohesive deliverable. We introduce data quilting as a new analysis methodology that combines both art and science to address a research problem. Using a three-layer approach and drawing on the comparable and parallel process of quilting, we introduce and describe each layer: backing, batting and top. This paper investigates the impact of in-store promotion and its spillover effect on private label introductions. We study different retail supply chain scenarios where the retailer carrying a national brand may introduce its own private label product and promote either the national brand or the private label inside the store. The in-store promotion on one product has a positive spillover effect on the other product. Without in-store promotion and spillover effect, the conventional wisdom indicates that, in a retail supply chain, the national brand manufacturer will be negatively impacted by the introduction of a private label product. Based on a critical review of the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT), this study first formalized an alternative theoretical model for explaining the acceptance and use of information system (IS) and information technology (IT) innovations. The revised theoretical model was then empirically examined using a combination of meta-analysis and structural equation modelling (MASEM) techniques. The meta-analysis was based on 1600 observations on 21 relationships coded from 162 prior studies on IS/IT acceptance and use.
