This mid-nineteenth century autograph book, titled "The Jenny Lind Album," was (according to the inscription) presented to Alice J. Cornell by her brother, Christmas 1852. The hardcover album book is full of messages, many of them poems, written to Alice by friends and family. It was printed with several picturesque engravings in its pages like “Balboa” as “Drawn by P. F. Rothermel” and “Engraved by J. Sartain."

The book is bound in black leather decorated with floral designs and printed with several picturesque engravings in its pages like "View of Northumberland (on the Susquehanna)" engraved by H. Griffiths after a picture by W. H. Bartlet.
