In August 1954, a salvage excavation was conducted at Kibbutz Ha-Ma‘apil (map ref. 1986/6983), following the construction of the Kibbutz dining room . The excavation, on behalf of the Department of Antiquities and Museums, was directed by J. Ory. Four rectangular cist tombs were exposed, some of which were damaged by the construction work on the site. The tombs, which were oriented in a north–south direction, were built of soft limestone that was dressed on the inner side. The covering stone (0.6 × 0.7 cm, thickness 0.25 cm) of one of the tombs was found. Few finds were discovered inside …

In June–November 1954 and April 1955, excavations were conducted on an artificial mound about 800 m. north of the mouth of Ga'aton river, near the Nahariya seashore (map ref. 208/768). The excavations were carried out following the discovery of pottery sherds on the southern slopes of the mound, by residents of the neighborhood. In the excavations that were conducted on behalf of the Department of Antiquities of the Mandatory Government in 1947, remains of a structure were discovered. In 1953, an excavation was conducted near Tel Iztabba in Bet She'an (map ref. unknown), under the direction of N. Zori. Based on the plans and photographs in the excavation file, a mosaic floor decorated with geometric patterns was found c. 250 m west of the Kiri Maria monastery, adjacent to the route of the Roman–Byzantine wall of Bet She'an. Near the floor was a mausoleum and a coffin inside which were bones and skulls.

In 1952, an excavation was conducted at Horbat Hanun in southern Netanya (Map ref. 18685-750/68915-50). The excavation, on behalf of the Department of Antiquities and Museums, was directed by F. Berger. The remains of structures that were identified as an agricultural installation and a winepress were exposed in the excavation, including a mosaic treading floor. A chamber was also exposed, inside which were two round pools paved with mosaics, a stone installation and a plastered settling (fermentation) pit, containing the remains of what the excavator believed to be stairs. In 1952, an excavation was conducted in Tiberias, west of the house of the Custodian of Absentee Property (map ref. unknown), following the discovery of tombs during repair work in the building. The excavation, on behalf of the Department of Antiquities and Museums, was directed by B. Ravni. The excavation was carried out in a pit (3.5 × 6.0 m, depth 1.1 m) opened by the Public Works Department. Six tombs or parts of tombs were found, of which only three were excavated thoroughly. Some of the tombs were hewn in the rock and some built.

In June 1951, an excavation was conducted along the Bet She'an–Hamadiya waterline, which passes through the slopes of Tel Iztabba (map ref. unknown). The excavation was directed by N. Zori. In November 1951, a trial excavation was conducted in the ‘Shikun Olim’ housing complex in Tiberias (map ref. unknown), following the discovery of a mosaic floor during the digging of a sewage channel east of the complex. The excavation, on behalf of the Department of Antiquities and Museums, was directed by B. Ravni. The excavators noticed that the floor was incomplete and excavated further to the west to check for additional remains. The mosaic floor extended over two adjacent rooms, possibly further in rooms that were not excavated.
