Mark's Art And Bridge Construction, J. Mark Erlander
Mark's Art And Bridge Construction, J. Mark Erlander
All Master's Theses
Plactic is the material I chose to communicate my ideas. Named for its ability to be shaped, melted, bent, moulded, and extruded into an infinite number of forms, is one of two reasons I used it. The other is its concept is familiar to modern man and even a definition of him.
To make the communication bridge complete the stulptures are constructed to allow the viewer to take part in the final form. By moving the work, he is as involved in the concept, form, and material as I have been in making the piece.

Sculptural Furniture, Gary Galbraith
All Master's Theses
The artist should employ his sense of playful experimentation that requires the re-investigation of old manners and styles. I have attempted to apply the imagination of my senses to the furniture object in order to satisfy other human needs aside from comfort. These artistic requirements remove the piece of furniture from the realm of neutrality and tastefulness and expect the viewer - user to experience visual communication.

The Development Of A Series Of Cast Metal Sculpture Using The Lost Wax Process, Ernest C. Reynolds
All Master's Theses
The purpose of this problem is twofold. First, I feel impelled to make a personal statement regarding my philosophies about form, and secondly to explore the possibility of relating negative and positive form as a sculptural unity in bronze casting.

This cultural appreciation would be shown at the Rhode Island School of Design to provide audiences would an understanding of Portuguese designs. Alongside these artworks, there is a strong emphasis on Italo-American handicrafts also being displayed in the museum. These newspaper clippings also focus on other activities, organizations, and programs involving the foreign community of Rhode Island.
