Creative Collaboration On A Creativity Book, Jane Harvey

Creativity and Change Leadership Graduate Student Master's Projects

Based on existing roles as writer and designer, two Master’s students partnered on one project. This project was dually about the creative product and creative process. The final product result is a book on creativity, but much of the project learning was about collaboration during the creative process itself. The project included the creation of written and visual content and a production-ready book layout on the subject of creativity. This paper describes the process followed to create a fast reading, jargon-free book with a special academic end section.

The researcher performed a study and observed the data. Afterwards, the data was analyzed to see people’s preferences and which one they liked best.

My Honors Capstone Project is entitled “Branding and Web Design for Inkululeko: With Freedom Comes Hope.” I worked with a Syracuse native, Jason Torreano, who recently started up an education nonprofit in Grahamstown, South Africa. This program is called Inkululeko, which, in the local Xhosa language, means “freedom.” The organization seeks to combat the inequalities in education that are a result of Apartheid in South Africa. They operate under the belief that anyone deserves a quality education, and that education is the key to success in a place where people have been denied it for so long.

The purpose of this study was to identify 21st century skills, content knowledge, and tools needed in an effective university-level graphic design program. Inconsistencies in the graphic design curriculum, fueled by the increasingly large number of programs and concentrations and the inability to track graduates, were some of the issues that led to a need for this study.

This lettering manual is named "Preparations for Instruction" because it contains the notes handed out in the classroom by the author in 1971. Although slightly informal, this booklet contains some very useful advice, some beautifully executed sample plates, and a moving tribute to the author's teacher, John Howard Benson, author of the full-length classic, "The Elements of Lettering" (1950).

Peter Dee - Strategic Design & Marketing Consultant, was responsible for the design and development of the brand identity for the Enterprise Ireland Student Creativity Day which was used on business cards, letterhead, appliction forms, information literature, large format posters, t-shirts and website. Recruitment Practices Influencing Enrollment Of Four-Year Undergraduate Students Who Specialize In Graphic Arts, Joseph George Gindele

The purpose of this study was to identify recruitment practices and other selected factors that could be utilized to increase undergraduate student enrollment in three types of graphic arts programs: education, technology, and management. The study involved graphic arts faculty and students in 76 colleges and universities in the United States.

Six instruments were used to secure data. These included two preliminary devices, three faculty opinionnaires, and one student opinionnaire. Each faculty opinionnaire focused on one of three graphic arts programs and contained a list of 32 recruitment practices. Spanning 1942-2010s, this collection consists of the professional papers and works of Georgia Southern College faculty member, Bronislaw Marion “Bruno” Bak. Materials include correspondence, teaching samples, class lecture notes, 2-D and 3-D studio technique posters, student papers, and original artworks. Of particular note are documents pertaining to Bak’s work on the window for St. John’s Abbey in Collegeville, Minnesota, and the 1980 biography written by his son, Clemens R. Bak.
