The Distribution And Population Dynamics Of The Golden Mouse (Ochrotomys Nuttalli) At Its Southern Range Periphery, Sarah A. Smiley

USF Tampa Graduate Theses and Dissertations

This research assesses the status of the golden mouse (Ochrotomys nuttalli) in Florida by taking a multi-pronged approach. Geographic Information Systems (GIS) was used to understand the distribution of habitats and occurrence records for this species within the state. Presence-absence trapping occurred at 13 study sites to determine if historic southern periphery populations were still occupied, gauge if more central populations were being maintained, and document golden mice in previously unrecorded areas. In addition, surveys for O. nuttalli took place at regular intervals at the USF Ecological Research Area to understand how populations of this species fluctuate over …

Artist Biography
Li Lin Lee is a self-taught painter who over the years has attended many exhibitions. Many of his earlier exhibitions had his group panel paintings while later ones displayed solo works. Born in Jakarta, Indonesia, he studied biochemistry at the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. He has traveled many places in Southeast Asia. Among his solo exhibitions: Symbiology and Urban Archaeology was displayed at Walsh Gallery in Chicago in 2001 and 2008 respectively.

Identidad And Mejicanidad: Dance Transference Through Mexican Folklórico, Azteca, And Flamenco Dance, Erica Ocegueda

Theatre & Dance ETDs

Identidad and Mejicanidad examines cultural identity and dance through the lens of 'owners,' 'borrowers,' and 'renters'. I examine how non-professional participants of these dance forms are beacons for cultural expression and serve to explore the fringe of the sense of cultural knowing through Mexican Folklórico, Azteca, and Flamenco dance. Through these dance forms I interrogate how cultural identity frames questions of authenticity and identity. Ownership of cultural identity and issues of authenticity are a source of ire for many underrepresented groups of people. Maintaining who is 'in control' of a cultural expressions' evolution is a common dispute. The legacy of …
