This project examines the Cold War’s identity and origin, including the perceptions of American policy makers and their effect on policies. This study works to prove the vague and contradictory perceptions of policy makers were powerful and largely the source and cause of the Cold War. This approach is completed in two ways: identifying the most important ideas expressed and held by policy makers and also by giving their thoughts and opinions historical context, showing their political impact. The second method is by showing how American perceptions of the Soviet Union influence diplomatic relations with that country. This study also …

This collection of poems explores boundaries and migrations, both in the natural world and in human relationships. These poems also consider the role a 'sense of place' plays in poetry, and the ways in which it informs consciousness.

The collection is divided into three sections: Migrations, Boundary Waters, and Flight Pattern. Part one, Migrations, examines developmental stages in the formation of self and in the broader circle of human history. Any abstract discussion of poetry must enlist a terminology wholly inadequate to its purpose, which is purportedly to clarify but which often serves to obfuscate or disempower the original language. The terms enlisted here for such purpose are "self" and "other." This collection of poems explores the distances and affinities between the self and others or other-ness. Exploration initiates movement. Because the self cannot arrive at the other, the poems resist finality, but seek to attain an economy of motion and direction that creates tension with a poem's necessity to come to a temporal conclusion. In this article, the author discusses the idea of mass-produced art, which allows the ordinary person to join the art world. Media Arts Group, Inc was able to create prints in mass production. As a result, Thomas Kinkade built an empire of light and beauty, selling his works to the masses, while mixing religion and values into his work.

In this paper, I will argue that many of the miracles in Gonzalo de Berceo's Milagros De Nuestra Señora reflect the ecclesiastic laws drawn up by Pope Innocent III at the Fourth Lateran Council. In response to a malaise in thirteenth-century Christianity, created in part by a lack of effective central government and by the perceived threat of the Jews and Arabs, Pope Innocent III called to order the Fourth Lateran Council in 1215 and marshalled bishops from all over Europe, including seventy-five percent of Spain's bishops.

Globalization, spurred on by capitalist principles, seeks the integration of countries and their economies into a single global market. Global integration has impacted countries in many ways, often negatively. Phenomena such as the illicit trade in weapons, drugs, and people for their sexual and/or physical labor, have also been facilitated by globalization. Specifically examined in this study were a) patterns of sex trafficking of women and girls in four countries: India, Nepal, the Philippines, and Thailand, and b) the various ways globalization has both impacted women's status within these countries and facilitated the sex trade.

The technology required for mass production of magazines had become a reality, the per issue cost of most publications had fallen to a reasonable level, the government had lowered postal rates, and readers had recognized the medium as uniquely suited to the discussion of intellectual matters.
