Aim: The aim of this study was to investigate the degree of external apical root resorption (EARR) following En-masse retraction (EM) and compared it to two steps retraction technique (TS) using friction mechanics.

Materials and Methods: Thirty adult female with maxillary protrusion were randomly allocated by a computer sequence generator with 1:1 allocation ratio. Oral focal mucinosis is a rare lesion with less than 60 cases reported in English literature so far, to the best of our knowledge. It is considered to be the oral counterpart of cutaneous focal mucinosis and/or cutaneous myxoid cyst. Histopathologically, Oral focal mucinosis is demonsterates a well-circumscribed area of myxomatous connective tissue containing mucinous material, surrounded by denser collagenous connective tissue. We present a case of Oral focal mucinosis occurring on the buccal gingiva of the lower jaw.

Objectives: The aim of the present Systematic Review was to compare between immediate and delayed dental implant placement using resonance frequency analysis specifically Implant Stability Quotients (ISQ).

Search methods: Search was performed in two databases (PubMed and Cochrane Library) till March 2023. Randomized clinical trials (RCTs) were included and measurements of ISQ at time of placement and time of loading were recorded. We excluded papers discussing bone grafting, orthodontic treatment and implant surface treatment.

Pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic (PKPD) modeling and simulation have emerged as pivotal tools in drug development and usage. Such models characterize typical trends in data and quantify the variability in relationships among dose, concentration, and desired effects. For antibacterial applications, models characterizing bacterial growth and antibiotic-induced bacterial killing offer insight into interactions between antibiotics, bacteria, and the host. Simulations from these models predict outcomes for untested scenarios, refine study designs, and optimize dosing regimens.

Various factors, including immigration status, language barriers, age, and socioeconomic status, influence healthcare service utilization among the Latinx population. This study seeks to assess whether culturally sensitive care addressing intersectional factors enhances health access and outcomes in low-income Latinx communities (Purpose). The research proposes a longitudinal quasi-experimental study involving 400 Latinx participants aged 18 and above in low-income urban Los Angeles neighborhoods. We have third grade students in North Dakota whose dental care needs are not being met. Programs, providers, and initiatives need to focus on providing equal access to preventive dental care supplies and educational resources to support good dental hygiene. Children attending schools where more than 50% of the students are eligible for the national school lunch program (NSLP) have a significantly higher need for early or urgent dental care and a higher rate of rampant decay compared to those attending schools with less than 50% of students eligible for the NSLP

Management of the raccoon rabies virus variant in North America is conducted primarily using oral rabies vaccination (ORV). When a sufficient proportion of the population is vaccinated (60%), rabies transmission can be eliminated. To date, ORV programs have successfully controlled and eliminated raccoon rabies in rural areas, but there has been less success in urban areas. This study aimed to explore pediatric dentists' perspectives on obesity-related interventions for parents of young children. A web-based survey was administered to 210 American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry members. Findings revealed that respondents considered it important for various healthcare professionals, especially pediatricians and nurse practitioners, to engage in obesity-related parent education. Strong consensus existed on educating parents about the link between early childhood caries and diet, soft drink and fruit juice consumption, and healthy snacking. The study also found positive attitudes correlated with increased engagement in objective weight determination, data collection, and diet/nutrition counseling.

Methods: This study evaluates wear and fatigue characteristics of dental crowns made from Ceramic Crown (SprintRay) and IPS e.max CAD LT (Ivoclar). For fatigue testing, custom fatigue devices were utilized to subject the crowns to cyclic loading, simulating occlusal forces.
