Internal erosion often occurs in earthen water-retaining structures such as embankment dams, levees, and dikes. This erosion is caused by seepage flows through soils or other porous materials containing a mixture of coarse and fine particles. The internal erosion process, also known as suffusion, involves the transport of fine particles carried away from the soil structure by seepage. Internal erosion can weaken the soil, create voids or cavities, and ultimately lead to structural collapse, posing a significant risk to earthen water-retaining structures. Public-private partnerships (PPPs) are contractual agreements between the public and the private sector to deliver economic and social infrastructure. The PPP environment is inherently complex and dynamic, often involving long-term contracts and significant financial performance risks. While many studies examine the construction and operation phases separately, this study focuses on predicting the financial performance of PPP highways by integrating the risks and factors in both phases. This method speeds up construction, reduces waste, and improves quality. การก่อสร้างโครงการรถไฟฟ้าที่ผ่านมามักประสบปัญหาความล่าช้า ส่งผลกระทบต่อผู้รับจ้าง ประชาชนที่สัญจร และผู้พักอาศัยใกล้โครงการ ปัจจัยเสี่ยงที่ส่งผลต่อผลิตภาพและระยะเวลาก่อสร้างรถไฟฟ้ารางเดี่ยวมีลักษณะคล้ายโครงสร้างพื้นฐานด้านการขนส่งอื่นๆ โดยที่สภาพแวดล้อมของโครงการก่อสร้างมีความเป็นพลวัตค่อนข้างสูง (Highly dynamic environment) เนื่องจากการเปลี่ยนแปลงของสภาพพื้นที่และปัจจัยเสี่ยงในช่วงการก่อสร้างโครงการ งานวิจัยนี้ศึกษาการประยุกต์ใช้ตัวแบบพลวัตระบบ (System dynamics) และการจัดการป้อนกลับ (Management feedback) หรือการแทรกแซงของผู้บริหาร (Management intervention) ในการบริหารความเสี่ยงที่ส่งผลต่อผลิตภาพ (Productivity) และระยะเวลา (Time) ของกิจกรรมงานก่อสร้างรถไฟฟ้ารางเดี่ยว (Straddle Monorail) โดยใช้ข้อมูลจากการสัมภาษณ์ผู้เกี่ยวข้องในโครงการและการสังเกตจากพื้นที่ปฏิบัติงานจริงในโครงการรถไฟฟ้ารางเดี่ยวสายสีชมพู ช่วงแคราย-มีนบุรี รวมถึงส่วนต่อขยายเมืองทองธานี ตัวแบบที่พัฒนาขึ้นใช้โปรแกรม VenSim PLE เพื่อวิเคราะห์ระยะเวลาการดำเนินการก่อสร้างของกิจกรรมหลักในเส้นทางวิ่ง พร้อมทั้งจัดลำดับความเสี่ยงจากการวิเคราะห์ความอ่อนไหว (Sensitivity analysis) นอกจากนี้ ยังเสนอค่าเผื่อเวลาในการทำงานที่รวมปัจจัยเสี่ยง (Time risk factor) ซึ่งมีค่าประมาณ 1.42 โดยค่าที่ได้สามารถนำไปประกอบการจัดการความเสี่ยงของโครงการที่มีบริบทการก่อสร้างคล้ายคลึงกัน หรือเพื่อการวางแผนด้านเวลาที่สอดคล้องกับปัจจัยเสี่ยงของโครงการและความมีสภาพแวดล้อมของโครงการก่อสร้างแบบมีความเป็นพลวัติสูง

The aging underground pipelines in the United States, which include sewer and water supply systems, have exceeded their design lifespan and will have to be renewed or replaced to continue providing these vital services to communities. Two methods can be used to replace the pipes: open-cut and trenchless technologies. Trenchless methods offer several advantages in urban areas: a small work area, lower operational and maintenance costs, and fewer negative impacts on the surrounding communities. This article evaluates the infrastructure development plans in Zambia's newly established districts, primarily focusing on assessing their effectiveness. Infrastructure development encompasses various strategies, and this study investigates the factors influencing the selection of these strategies for implementing infrastructure projects in Zambia. Through structured interviews and questionnaires distributed to 500 respondents, the research highlights the critical role of community involvement. Communities play a pivotal role in identifying essential amenities, setting priorities for infrastructure construction, incorporating their ideas, and participating in the planning process for executing infrastructure projects. This study aimed to assess the level of digitalization adoption and evaluate the barriers to adopting digitalization in the Jordanian construction industry by all project parties in the public and private sectors. Self-consolidating concrete (SCC) is a relatively new concrete technology which allows the concrete to be placed without the need for manual or machine vibration. This innovation reduces labor costs, construction times, and can provide a smooth, finished surface. However, this technology is used in the United States primarily in the precast and prestressed concrete industry. There currently exists a significant amount of uncertainty when designing piles for bridge foundations in liquefiable soil. Currently ARDOT engineers use a Standard Penetration Test (SPT) based liquefaction spreadsheet developed 10 years ago to evaluate liquefaction triggering. Since this spreadsheet was developed, updates to the liquefaction triggering procedures have been published making the spreadsheet out-of-date. Moreover, additional methods of liquefaction evaluation using cone penetration test (CPT) and shear wave velocity (Vs) provide added means of evaluating liquefaction potential. Since the 1970s, South Carolina has employed open graded friction courses (OGFC) on high-speed asphalt roadways to enhance wet weather safety. While these mixes have indeed enhanced safety, they still grapple with durability issues, particularly concerning raveling. This research aimed to assess the prolonged performance of OGFC pavements in South Carolina, with a specific emphasis on isolated raveling occurrences.
