Advancements in robotics and computer vision are transforming how infrastructure is monitored and maintained. This paper presents a novel, fully automated pipeline for pavement condition assessment that integrates real-time image analysis with PCI (Pavement Condition Index) computation, which is specifically designed for deployment on mobile and robotic platforms. Unlike traditional methods that rely on costly equipment or manual input, the proposed system uses deep learning-based object detection and ensemble segmentation to identify and measure multiple types of road distress directly from 2D imagery, including surface weathering, a key precursor to pothole formation often overlooked in previous studies. Autonomous robots are increasingly deployed on construction sites for tasks such as progress monitoring, inspection, and safety assessment. For these robots to operate effectively, they must perceive and interpret complex, dynamic environments populated by workers, machinery, and unstructured terrain. Construction 3D Printing (C3DP) holds great potential for automated construction but faces key challenges, including the high Portland cement content of its printing materials. The high cement content raises material costs, causes shrinkage and thermal cracking, and increases its carbon footprint. This study introduces a novel hybrid computational pipeline that combines image based automated gradation analysis with 2D stochastic particle packing simulation, to design low-cement printable materials with minimal experimental testing. The Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) sector accounts for 39% of greenhouse gas emissions, 40% of solid waste, and 12% of potablewater usage globally, underscoring the need for sustainable, efficient practices. Building Information Modeling (BIM) offers a digital framework to address these challenges through lifecycle management, collaboration, and efficiency gains. However, most organizations remain at BIM Level 2 maturity, which limits their potential for full integration. Existing research on construction labor productivity (CLP) within specific trades has produced inconsistent findings due to differences in the factors analyzed. Price adjustment clauses (PACs) are used by state departments of transportation (DOTs) to share the risk of material price fluctuations. Existing models that depict the price fluctuations of materials forecast a mean within a horizon while relying on the assumption of a constant volatility throughout that horizon. However, none of them examine whether the prices of construction material exhibit similar volatility following a sudden price surge or a price drop. University buildings are energy-intensive and operate on complex schedules, making electricity demand forecasting particularly challenging. This study develops and evaluates monthly forecasting models for a public university campus in Georgia using six years of data (January 2019–December 2024) that integrate weather variables and academic calendar indicators. Three modeling approaches are compared: Seasonal Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (SARIMA), SARIMA with exogenous variables (SARIMAX), and a hybrid SARIMAX–Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) model. In order to evaluate the vortex-induced vibration (VIV ) performance of a single-tower ground-anchored cable-stayed bridge with a double-side box open section composite main girder,sectional model wind tunnel tests were conducted under different wind angles of attack and wind speeds.The results show that the torsional stiffness of the π-shaped open section main girder is significantly higher than its vertical bending stiffness.The dominant vibration mode of the main girder is the obvious vibration of the main span,while the ground-anchored abutment effectively stabilizes the cable tower through the back stays.At the damping ratio level specified in the code,within the range of prevailing …

To address the problems of hollow recognition results,high noise,and poor crack continuity in pavement crack identification using the Sobel algorithm,this paper proposed a joint algorithm combining the Sobel algorithm and matched filter for three-dimensional crack recognition of asphalt pavement.A matched filter in the form of a sine function was designed,and the matched filter was used to extract crack features from the results of the Sobel algorithm.The matched filter results were subjected to threshold filtering and connected domain analysis to effectively solve the hollow recognition problem,while also reducing noise and improving crack continuity.The test results show that the Sobel + matched …

In order to improve the on-site construction efficiency of bridge concrete barriers,a prefabrication scheme for bridge concrete barrier installation was proposed.A structure scheme was developed by anchoring transverse steel bars at the bottom of prefabricated wall panels into the integrated cast-in-situ layer,adopting tongue-and-groove connections between adjacent wall panels,and optimizing the structural configuration and reinforcement of the panels.According to the requirements of the Level VI protection standard,full-scale impact tests using a large bus and a large truck were organized in turn.The results show that the prefabricated concrete bridge barrier can effectively withstand continuous impacts from both large buses and trucks.Its structural …
