This study aims to find out the effect of PBL with procedural scaffolding toward high-order thinking skills in terms of students' high and low ability. This research used non equivalent control group design with 34 students of experimental class and 35 students of control class. The hypothesis test of this study used Two-Way ANOVA and showed that the effect of PBL with procedural scaffolding was 42.5%, while the effect of students' initial ability was 37.9%. The mean posttest grade of the experimental class is higher than the control class, indicating that PBL with procedural scaffolding affects students' high-order thinking skill.

The purpose of this research is to describe the mathematical communication of theoritist student in SMP Negeri 5 Malang in solving similarity problem. Subject of this research is one theoritist students. The indicators of mathematical communication that used in this research are adapted from the NCTM indicator then combined to the four Polya's steps. The results of this research show that the subject’s mathematical communication structure tends to be complete. This research and developmentaims to produce and reveal the eligibility attitudes and psychomotoric skills assessment instruments on acid base, acid base titration, hydrolysis of salt, and buffer solution. The steps of research and development which is used (1) study of literature; (2) field survey; (3) drafting instruments; (4) limited field-testing; (5) revision of the field test result; (6) further field-testing; (7) revision offinal product; (8) dissemination and implementation. This study aims to describe the process of creative thinking of high-spatial ability students in solving open ended problems based on the stages of Wallas. The results of this study include (1) preparation stage, subject reading questions and looking for information of problems, (2) incubation stage, subject had time to pause and then draw cubes, (3) illumination stage, subject designs the solution for both ofproblems using Pythagorean theorem and circumference of region of cube, and (4) verification stage, student apply the idea and found that subject produce one solution for first problem and produce two solution for second solution.

A Digital Immigrant Venture Into Teaching Online: An Autoethnographic Account Of A Classroom Teacher Transformed, Karin A. Lewis

This paper presents an autoethnographic account of a classroom teacher’s experience transitioning to teaching online within the shifting culture of academe in the 21st Century. After decades as a classroom teacher, the author engages in autoethnography to reflexively analyze her challenging transition to teaching online. The author examines her perspectives, beliefs, thought process, learning, and development. Findings regarding her new way of teaching, thinking, and living as an online instructor may provide insights for others in academe.

This study sought to explore whether or not master teachers who seem relatively unfazed by daily pressures and mandates may have some sort of internal structure to help them. In order to answer this question, relevant literature regarding self-concepts was examined. This literature included self-efficacy, self-determination theory, growth mindset, and grit. Synthesizing the literature, these theories had certain resounding commonalities among some or all of them. These commonalities include perceived autonomy, perceived competence, relational importance, and hard work. The tensions of engaging in both coaching and evaluation have driven this inquiry examining my practice as a university supervisor. I explored the ways I define the tasks that allow me to supervise in ways that align with my beliefs, while at the same time perform my duty as an evaluator. In order to examine my practice and the ways that I engage in evaluation and coaching as a supervisor, I considered those tasks in which I enacted such practices. Further, I envisioned a “hybrid” practice where both roles have a place and function while improving pre-service teaching practice.
