Financial stress is a pervasive concern among medical students, with documented associations with adverse physical health, psychological morbidity, and ineffective coping. This study focuses on understanding the financial stressors female medical students face and the coping strategies they employ. While financial stress and coping mechanisms have been explored in the literature, a notable gap exists in understanding these dynamics among female students.

The community needs assessment uncovered assets that support students, as well as the need for additional resources to promote success in higher education. Information was gathered from the campus community regarding current documented practices such as informal or formal support to aid Hispanic students in their college experience relating to their wellbeing, academic success, and career development. This study and the literature demonstrate an overwhelming need for clinical supervision, but there is still a paucity of research on school counseling supervision. Clinical supervision in counseling requires at least three aspects: 1) clinical supervisors received formal training; 2) the belief that clinical supervision has strong effectiveness on supervisees' competence; and 3) a mental health professional provides supervision. School counselors continue to reference a need for supervision, but most notably, a gap for clinical supervision. The purpose of the study is to investigate school counselors’ support of youth experiencing homelessness going to college. Using survey methods, school counselors reported their knowledge, perceived competence, advocacy, and actions related to supporting students experiencing homelessness in their college preparation. The results suggested that training and the number of students experiencing homelessness on counselors’ caseloads were significantly related to their knowledge and competence. Knowledge, competence, and advocacy all impacted the number of interventions utilized by participants. The implications of these results for school counselors and counselor educators are discussed.

From the Rational-Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) perspective, irrational beliefs are posited as the primary catalysts for a myriad of problems, including academic burnout. This study aims to examine the theoretical model of irrational beliefs organization in academic burnout. The hypothesized model delineates the following pathways: (1) from demandingness (DEM) to academic burnout (BURN) via catastrophizing (CAT); (2) from demandingness (DEM) to academic burnout (BURN) via low frustration tolerance (LFT); and (3) from demandingness (DEM) to academic burnout (BURN) via self-depreciation (DEP).
