Transformation Of Accreditation Of Higher Education In Health In Indonesia: Qualitative Assessment, Yefta Moenadjat, Insan Sosiawan A. Tunru, Sutrisno Soemardjo

The New Ropanasuri Journal of Surgery

Accreditation of higher education in health in Indonesia shifts to the qualitative assessment driven to ensure quality improvement. The method replaces the former quantitative assessment method that has been applied since 2012; it will be effective in January 2025. The driving factors and rationale of transformation are outlined in this article. The rationale of the qualitative assessment that applies principle–based accreditation and the quantitative assessment that applies rule–based accreditation is reviewed here. Information on the accreditation procedure and the goal is presented, aiming for institutions to prepare for this new version of accreditation.

By providing practical, actionable resources, these tools help higher education professionals effectively handle the challenges of strategic communication management. Barriers to education and training can have a generational impact on socioeconomic status and economic development. Post-traditional students have been shown to experience a variety of barriers to education and family sustaining employment. Social capital has been shown to help alleviate some of the barriers for students resulting in stronger economic outcomes, such job retention, and higher wages.

Service-learning, a widely adopted teaching method in Catholic higher education, provides students with opportunities to address social justice issues. This is why many Catholic higher education institutions have implemented strategic reforms to incorporate service-learning into their mission and identity. However, further research is required to explore how institutionalizing service-learning can deepen institutional practices and goals. Hence, this case study examined the rationale and approach of a Catholic higher education institution in the Philippines in institutionalizing service-learning. The AI Training Series was Washington County, Utah’s first community education offering on the topic of generative AI (GenAI). The training provided community members with an overview of the capabilities and advantages of GenAI and assisted them in making informed technology adoption decisions. Utah State University Extension partnered with Dixie Technical College and Zonos, a software company, to evaluate the effectiveness of the learning experience based on anticipated outcomes. Results showed the training was effective for disseminating information and advancing knowledge on the topic of GenAI. A program to provide supplementary support for the mental health and wellness of students at a midsize Southern University by providing a centrally located “relaxation space” for students on campus during the last two weeks of the semester is proposed and tested. A central location was found on campus to host the space. The researcher also developed an online survey for students to review the space. The trial was run for two weeks, and participants were able to access the online survey throughout those weeks. The Effect Of Modality On Spirituality Outcomes In Theological Higher Education, Johnnie H. Peyton

The purpose of this research study was to examine differences in perceptions of spirituality outcomes between online and in-person students taking theology courses at a Christian liberal arts college in the Midwestern United States. Using a validated instrument, the Religious Education Survey (RES), 71 students were surveyed. A one sample t test was used to evaluate the statistical significance of mean perceptions of spirituality between the online and in-person students. The difference in mean score perceptions of spirituality between online and in-person students was not statistically significant, and the null hypothesis was retained. The current study fills a gap in the current literature by measuring current CES personnel and stakeholders’ attitudes toward the use of Podcasts as a tool for information dissemination. By identifying perceived barriers to podcasts by CES personnel and how receptive CES stakeholders are to CES-based podcasts, this study helps to identify important barriers to the development of podcasts, as well as how such podcasts can be best positioned to fulfill the needs and expectations of CES stakeholders. This creative practice research project explores the use of emotion design techniques through visual storytelling in the form of a 68-page graphic novel design and an accompanying exegesis. The research examines emotion theory, exploring how a visual story can comprise of emotion design elements through techniques within shape language, emotive signals, the semiotics of colour, genre, symbolism, and emotive storytelling structures.

Via a creative component, the research documents the practical application of the theoretical concepts using the form of a graphic novel, highlighting the importance of the emotional affect on an audience experience.

In my exegesis, I explore the convergence of ecoacoustics, environmental aesthetics and aesthetic experience within the backdrop of creative practice research. This research aims to investigate how sound can enhance aesthetic experiences of nature and engage listeners to foster stronger connections with nature. I draw on the philosophies of John Dewey, Arnold Berleant, and Maurice Merleau-Ponty to examine the practice of fieldwork, reflection and ecoacoustics and if these methods can create soundscapes that elicit an embodied, sensory engagement with nature.

According to a widely held view, mathematical proofs are essentially (indications of) formal derivations, and thus in principle mechanically checkable (this view is defended, for example, by Azzouni [3]). This should in particular hold for the kind of simple proof exercises typically given to students of mathematics learning to write proofs. If that is so, then automated proof checking should be an attractive option for math education at the undergraduate level.
