Global Relief Services is working with a world-renowned international consulting firm on a site location strategy. The consulting firm, ABC Inc., had previously supported the United Nations (UN) on multiple crisis situations over the past ten years and has experience assisting with site location decisions in the past. The GRS team, assisted by the logistics team of ABC Inc., will determine an optimal site(s) for warehousing supplies in areas distant from vendor donors. Students’ recommendations should include the optimal site location and resource allocation strategy and planning.

This descriptive study aims at identifying the level of media and information literacy (MIL) competencies of Language and Communication students along UNESCO’s Access, Evaluation and Creation components. Results surface that even if the respondents have a general intermediate MIL competency along the three components, they have basic competency levels along four performance criteria. Specifically, along Access, the (1) recognition of metadata roles; along Evaluation, the (2) creation of arguments for conclusions drawn, and the (3) demonstration of the importance of indexing; and along Creation, the (4) application of international standards and requirements for new knowledge creation in an ethical manner. …

Accessing, comprehending, and using information to make informed decisions and improve one’s overall health or well-being are the foci of health literacy. The concept of behavioral health was introduced in the early 1980s and, since then, it has influenced new ideas (e.g., behavioral health literacy and integrated behavioral health care) and gained research and public attention. Most principal training programs in the United States focus very little on preparing aspiring instructional leaders to lead programs for students with disabilities. An examination of principal preparation programs and their SPED components is necessary at a time when standards have been revised and new certification exams have been constructed in Texas. To explore the presence of SPED topics in principal certification courses, we used a classical content analysis with a group of university-based principal preparation programs. The acceptance of CBT before COVID-19 varied significantly among stakeholders. Considering the closure of schools, governments resorting to radio lessons to keep students educated, and the need to safely assess learning, the study seeks to ascertain the status of stakeholders’ perception on CBT for assessing radio Biology lessons. Three research questions and three hypotheses guided the study, which adopted descriptive research design. 321 stakeholders’ views were collated using an online survey, with a face/content-validated questionnaire titled "questionnaire on stakeholders’ perception of CBT”, having Cronbach Alpha reliability estimate of 0.83. This article explores options for introductory creative writing curricula that allow for and encourage a greater consideration of personal identity and audience on the part of the student-author. It reaches toward possibilities for revising the introductory creative writing course as a space for student-authors to not only consider the cultural positions of the professional authors they study, but also the ways in which their own subject-positions influence their writing practices, craft choices, and understandings of genre. The normalization of white cultural and societal educational standards often produce uniform consumers of knowledge. In an effort to seek modification from conventional educational belief systems, this literature review looks at a collection of critical, race-based, and anti-/ de-colonial epistemologies and challenges traditions of inquiry. The research: 1) articulates how national culture perpetuates divisiveness through race and racism in colonized American society and institutions, 2) contemplates the amalgamation of Jewishness and whiteness, and 3) considers utilizing critical theory and social justice views to decolonize educational methodologies as a path to implement change. This article shares three questions and answers about mathematical modeling in the classroom from an April 2020 online conversation with participants of a CCTM webinar. We hope that the answers to these questions will motivate teachers to embrace the value of implementing math modeling tasks, help students see the math all around them in the world, and empower future professionals to reach for the mathematical tools in their pockets to make data-driven decisions.

Purpose: Cultural differences and personal biases can affect the way a clinician provides care and the way in which patients receive it. The Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) designates cultural competence as one of the professional practice expectations for physical therapy students, although no standardized blueprint exists for Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) programs. Honors faculty often engage students in service-learning and community- engaged courses to help students learn curricular concepts, develop skills in responsible citizenship, and positively impact their community. Authors consider how the greatest impact honors students can have may sometimes be through bearing witness rather than through direct service or volunteering. Post-pandemic exigencies such as isolation, technology fatigue, and financial pressures can be embraced as opportunities to return to, and strengthen, core values in honors involving student agency and community. This essay considers the pedagogical benefits of receding from technology in the classroom. Drawing on recent empirical research concerning the deleterious effects of tech in the lives of students, particularly as they relate to community and agency, authors make the case for providing students with tech-minimal experiences.
