The protests were largely in support of his announcement, though some supported Nicolás Maduro, the president of Venezuela since 2013. This project examines the culture of memory in modern-day Argentina in the context of the last civic-military dictatorship that took place between 1976 and 1983. Argentina is a country with a long history of filmmaking, a tradition that was suddenly interrupted during the long and dark seven years of military rule. Since the arrival of democracy in 1983, however, filmmakers have explored the trauma created by this period and have created a significant record of films that deal with loss, memory, and trauma. Further, the study identified whether there was a significant difference in perceived job satisfaction or turnover intention based on years of service in the CSU system, gender, or campus in the CSU system. Contemporary cultural media illustrates the vampire as an important symbolic figure in the Brazilian imaginary. For example, in twentieth and twenty-first century Brazilian fiction, television, and political discourse, vampires have risen from their supposedly European origins as expressions of urban decay, comic excess, and government corruption in Brazil. Beyond these representations, I focus on three contemporary novels in which the vampire also plays a starring role. Studying and becoming proficient in Spanish is feasible, affordable, and can be accomplished at Cal Poly in conjunction with a Construction Management major. In a dynamic industry that values versatile employees, where communication is key to success, the capability of speaking Spanish is a substantial value-add in the workforce.
