Biopolymers have shown a great effect in enhanced oil recovery because of the improvement of water-flood performance by mobility control, as well as having been considered for oil contaminated-soil remediation thanks to their mobility control and water-flood performance. This study focused on the wettability analysis of biopolymers such as chitosan (85% deacetylated power), PEO (polyethylene oxide), Xanthan (xanthan gum), SA (Alginic Acid Sodium Salt), and PAA (polyacrylic acid), including the measurements of contact angles, interfacial tension, and viscosity. Kwa Chong Guan is a Senior Fellow of S Rajaratnam School of International Studies and was the man who recognised the importance of Oral History Centre and the National Museum. In 1980s, he led the expansion of the old National Museum to its current three museums and their consolidation under the National Heritage Board. He shares with DNA, ISL the importance and functions of archives and offers a glimpse into his career in the public service and Singapore’s history before the era of Sir Stamford Raffles.

Anti-Aestheticizing Australian Landscape: Compounding Historical Narratives Within Pictures., Brent Greene

Landscapes: the Journal of the International Centre for Landscape and Language

The following creative works aspire to construct landscapes that carry multiple, rather than singular, narratives as a means to explore Australia’s extensive landscape tradition. With the benefit of hindsight, the appropriated imagery of Glover and Heysen combine hybrid frameworks of Australian landscape at the time of colonisation and federation; through these pictures neither the colonial or Indigenous narrative is given precedent, alternatively numerous stories are overlayed as a method to communicate past and present entanglements within Australian space.
