Data was mainly collected from 154 hotels categorized into 4 types by Department of Provincial Administration and Online Travel Agency (OTA). Data analysis was conducted through data collecting week-by-week from 1st February to 31st December 2020 and the relationship of measurements and adaptation indicators was diagrammed. This attempt is problematic because the term 'biomimicry' in architecture was invented in the 1990's much later than the Thai traditional houses. This thesis orients a public library toward the James River with the purpose of strengthening Richmond’s connection to this waterway. Adapting an existing warehouse with a history of river industry, this project used evidence-based design decisions to drive its development. Using interviews, surveys, and case studies, the design is organized around a central gathering space where the river enters the building and around which spaces for study, stacks, and children flow. This project will re-conceive a historic movie theater, honoring the program of the building as it was originally intended, while introducing a new programmatic element: the library. With rapid urbanization, environmental problems like green space shortage and urban flooding become prevalent. Identifying effective policymaking and implementation is critical in order to solve these problems. This dissertation addresses four theoretical topics in the context of urban green infrastructure: policy entrepreneur, institutional response to club goods, quasi-public-private partnership, and policy goal ambiguity. Each is exemplified by a causal case study. Data were collected through participant observation, field trips, semi-structured interviews, and crowdsourcing.

This is the first of two volumes that comprise the final report of the three excavation seasons at the site. It focuses primarily on the stratigraphy and architecture. Chapter 1 briefly describes the siteʼs physical characteristics, paleoenvironment and subsistence strategies, previous research at the site, excavation strategy and methodology; Chapter 2 presents the geomorphology of the site and its environs, and a sedimentological analysis of the various strata; Chapter 3 details the siteʼs stratigraphy; Chapter 4 is a synthesis and comprehensive discussion of the stratigraphy, architecture and elements of settlement planning.

This study proposes to map the propagation of an alternative type of ionic capital invented by Michelangelo in 1563. We proceed to a comparative analysis of the new buildings erected in Rome from the invention of the new capital to the beginning of the 17th century, in order to highlight spatial and temporal correlations peculiar to its diffusion. The study of this issue allows to understand the perception of the capital that the next generation of roman architects developed, which is a less known aspect of Michelangelo's reception. Overall, it invites to shape the stylistic evolution of an architectural motif.
