Mud architecture in Hadhramout Valley is the dominant local architecture, which has been illustrated in the construction of magnificent residential buildings and palaces at intervals of time since the settlement began in the valley. The environment in Hadhramout Valley is characterized by the availability of mud material deposited in the streams of the valley and its sub-valleys. The prevailing climate is the dry hot climate. Mud buildings confirm the suitability of clay material for construction, which has been favored by ancestors since ancient times. This collection consists of Personal correspondence, newspaper photocopies, newsletters, brochures and other miscellaneous materials relating to the Memorial Auditorium & Convention Center of Pittsburg, Kansas.

Pittsburg’s Memorial Auditorium was built as the Mirza Temple (Masonic) for the Pittsburg Chapter. Construction of the building began in 1923 and finished in 1925. In 1945, the temple was purchased by the city of Pittsburg after voters approved the use of bonds in the purchase. The Memorial Auditorium was dedicated to the servicemen of WW1 and WW2, as well as the devoted women and Red Cross nurses who accompanied them. Various influential entertainers have …

It established that the deepening of the Lower Mississippi River will impact not only the local area but also the inland regions that rely on the river systems and lower river ports for product movement. The perspectives of vessel operators, maritime industry experts and charterers are provided to offer insight. This dissertation describes a large-scale investigation of heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) fault prevalence in commercial buildings in the United States. A multi-year dataset with 36,556 pieces of HVAC equipment including air handling units (AHUs), air terminal units (ATUs), and packaged rooftop units (RTUs) was analyzed to determine values for several HVAC fault prevalence metrics. The primary source of data for this study comes from three commercial fault detection and diagnostics (FDD) providers. Since each FDD provider uses different terms to refer to the same fault in an HVAC system, a mapping function was created for each FDD provider’s dataset, …

Global community, through agreements and protocols, aims that by the end of this century to keep the temperature rise below 2°C the average temperature of pre-industrial levels.
