การศึกษาวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาวัสดุปูพื้นในโครงการคอมมูนิตี้มอลล์ ในเรื่องสภาพทั่วไป ขั้นตอนการดูแลรักษา และปัญหาที่เกิดขึ้น โดยการรวบรวมข้อมูล จากการสำรวจ สังเกตการณ์ ถ่ายภาพ และสัมภาษณ์ผู้ดูแลโครงการ และเลือกคอมมูนิตี้มอลล์โครงการเควิลเลจ เดอะไนน์เนเบอร์ฮู้ด เสนาเฟส พอร์โตชิโน่ ศาลายามอลล์ และท่ามหาราช เป็นกรณีศึกษา เพราะบริษัทผู้ดูแลโครงการเป็นบริษัทเดียวกัน จากการศึกษาพบวัสดุปูพื้นหลายชนิด ได้แก่ ซีเมนต์ขัดหยาบ ซีเมนต์ขัดมัน คอนกรีตพิมพ์ลาย หินขัด กรวดล้าง ทรายล้าง กระเบื้องเซรามิค หินแกรนิต ไม้ธรรมชาติ และไม้เทียม ซึ่งแต่ละโครงการมีการใช้วัสดุปูพื้นหลายชนิด วัสดุปูพื้นที่พบบริเวณทางรถยนต์และลานจอด คือ ซีเมนต์ขัดหยาบ บริเวณทางเดินและพื้นที่ภายนอกอาคาร คือ ซีเมนต์ขัดมัน คอนกรีตพิมพ์ลาย กรวดล้าง และกระเบื้องเซรามิค บริเวณทางเดินและพื้นที่กึ่งภายนอกอาคาร คือ กระเบื้องเซรามิคและคอนกรีตพิมพ์ลาย ในพื้นที่กว้างพบพื้นคอนกรีตพิมพ์ลาย และในพื้นที่เล็กพบพื้นไม้ธรรมชาติและไม้เทียม นอกจากนี้ยังพบว่าวัสดุพื้นประเภทหินขัดและกระเบื้องเซรามิค มีสภาพดีมาก ซึ่งอยู่ในสภาพที่สะอาด ไม่ชำรุดแตกร้าวหรือแตกหัก คอนกรีตพิมพ์ลายและซีเมนต์ขัดมัน มีสภาพดี อยู่ในสภาพที่สะอาดปานกลาง มีการแตกร้าวบ้างบางส่วน และกรวดล้างและทรายล้าง มีสภาพพอใช้ อยู่ในสภาพที่พบการแตกร้าวและหลุดร่อน ส่วนในด้านการดูแลรักษาที่แบ่งออกเป็นงานประจำวัน ประจำสัปดาห์ ประจำเดือน สามเดือนและหกเดือนนั้น พบว่าวัสดุที่มีรอบการดูแลรักษาน้อย คือ ซีเมนต์ขัดหยาบ กรวดล้าง ทรายล้างและไม้เทียม วัสดุที่ต้องมีการดูแลรักษาปานกลาง คือ ซีเมนต์ขัดมัน หินขัด และกระเบื้อง และวัสดุที่ต้องมีการดูแลรักษามาก คือ ไม้ธรรมชาติ หินแกรนิต และคอนกรีตพิมพ์ลาย ซึ่งเมื่อใช้งานไปแล้ว สภาพของวัสดุจะเปลี่ยนแปลง มีคราบสกปรก วัสดุเสียหายจากการใช้งานและเสื่อมสภาพ ทำให้ต้องมีการดูแลรักษาเพิ่มขึ้น กล่าวโดยสรุปแล้ว วัสดุปูพื้นในคอมมูนิตี้มอลล์ที่พบ 10 ชนิดจาก 6 โครงการ มีการใช้งานแตกต่างกันตามลักษณะความนิยม จากการพบเห็นและจากปริมาณพื้นที่ใช้งาน ตามลักษณะการใช้งานที่ส่งผลต่อภาพลักษณ์ของโครงการ และตามลักษณะขั้นตอนการทำงานดูแลรักษา

The concept of the Smart City has recently been introduced to help make urban planning in Chiang Mai more effective. In particular, the Smart City idea is being integrated with Geographical InformationSystems (GIS) and Information and Communications Technologies (ICTs ) to support better decision- making. This paper employs GIS-based ICTs as a means for updating the land use database of the Public Work and Town & Country Planning within the Chiang Mai Comprehensive Plan Boundary between 2000 and 2015. More is the Same is the result of my examination of the perception of space in relation to architecture and landscape. By embracing modern concepts of the grid, formalism and design, this compilation of personal experiences and memories, manifests as post-minimal sculptures. However, when considering the hierarchy of importance in my work this involves pure visual perception over any specific narrative. Bangkok and five provinces in the vicinity, called Bangkok Metropolitan Region, BMR, occupies 7,650 Square Kilometers of the most significant delta area and productive agricultural lands of Thailand. According to 2012 database of the Land Development Bureau, Thailand, the BMR has more than 140 types of land-use classifications related to various agricultural usage; paddy fields, crop fields, orchards, perennial plots, horticulture, farming facilities and aquaculture lands. This paper presents a study of cities located on floodable topography in the Central Plain of Thailand. These cities were once called aquatic cities, Bangkok was also known as the "Venice of the East" due to its extraordinary relationship with water. The study will analyses the transitional period of change from water-based to land-based cities using the surveyed and published maps in city's scale that were generated for the first time in Thailand in 1960. The paper will therefore explain the particular identity and characters of these water-based cities through urban form, size and articulation between water and land.

A method for sustainable design was created, attempting to turn sustainability from a burden into an innovation tool with inherent business value. The method combines creative whole-systems thinking with quantitative sustainability metrics. It facilitates innovation by the creation of visual whole-system maps that encourage more thorough and more radical brainstorming. No comprehensive study has been done within the higher education sector to see if Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification makes sense economically. This study helps fill the gaps in the literature by providing construction costs and energy and water costs for a sample of campus LEED-certified buildings within the United States. Finding out if campus greening makes sense economically from a full lifecycle standpoint can help address possible upfront green premium barriers. Packed-bed digesters are an alternative to covered lagoon digesters for methane production and anaerobic treatment of dilute wastewaters such as dairy barn flush water. The physical media of packed-beds retain biofilms, often allowing increased treatment rates. Previous studies have evaluated several types of media for digestion of dilute wastewaters, but cost and media fouling have setback commercial development. A major operational cost has been effluent recirculation pumping.

Building retrofit analysis in Switzerland traditionally relies on expert heuristics and best practices. These processes are not often supplemented by data or model-driven techniques that would enhance the accuracy and ability to quantify the impact of innovative technologies. We present a process of calibrated building energy model (BEM) analysis of a case study using a building information model (BIM) and measured data from a custom wireless sensor network. The case study is a mixed-use office and residential historically listed building in Zürich, Switzerland. The aphorism “Think globally, act locally,” attributed to René Dubos, reflects the vision that the solution to global environmental problems must begin with efforts within our communities. PlaNYC 2030, the New York City sustainability plan, is the starting point for this study. Results include (a) a case study based on the City College of New York (CCNY) energy audit, in which we model the impacts of green roofs on campus energy demand and (b) a case study of energy use at the neighborhood scale.
