This article examines the monograph by A. Khodzhaev “The Great Silk Road: communications and fate”, analyzing its chapters in detail. Khojaev, analyzing information about the origin of the Chinese ethnos, its statehood, culture and history, comes to the conclusion that the entire upper and middle part of the river. Thus, A. Khodjaev’s monograph “The Great Silk Road: Connections and Fates” clarifies not only the ethnogenesis of the Turkic peoples of Eurasia, but also makes it possible to understand a lot in the history of China itself, including its ties with Central Asia.
