Why study green libraries? We know that as of 2007, paper and paperboard makes up 33% of total municipal solid waste recycling. This suggests that libraries contribute to this figure as libraries’ collections and operational materials are made up of paper. This study identifies the students’ reading interest of Sekolah Dasar Negeri 1 Depok Baru, West Java. This research uses a quantitative research approach with descriptive method. The data was collected by using survey. The results showed that students have their own reading interest. Their favorite genre of reading materials includes religious stories, comic, and short novels. The findings suggest that parents need to introduce another reading material variation such as newspapers. Parents are also encouraged to supervise their children while reading comic.

This study discusses the use of school libraries and the use of library clubs (books club) which is represented in the animated series "Daitoshokan no Hitsujikai” (A Good Librarian Like A Good Shepherd). This research is a qualitative research with framing analysis approach. The result shows that this animation serial represented school library purpose and utilization, especially in books club activities as one part of school library. The purpose of this study is to determine how the role of libraries and the perception of librarians in the BSC implementation at the Ministry of Finance and BPPT. The method used is qualitative descriptive to determine the role of libraries and quantitative descriptive to know the perception of library staff. The results show the role of libraries in the implementation of the BSC lies in the perspective of internal processes in the strategy map parent institution. This study aims to describe reading habits of elementary school student at Sekolah Dasar Negeri Anyelir 1 Depok Baru, Jawa Barat. This is a quantitative research with case study method. The data collected by distributing questionnaire towards 8 years old of 152 students at the particular school (total sampling population). The result shows that reading habit level of participants are categorized low. Less than 55% participants claimed they spent their leisure time for reading. The purposes of this research are to describe the teacher-librarian motivation at the works and any factor affecting. A case study method is used in this qualitative research. The result shows that the motivation of teacher-librarian works based on his/her desire to make a better library. In addition, the factor which influence the motivation of teacher library based on achievements, acknowledgment, responsibility and their status.

This study discusses the user attitudes in handling library materials. The study was conducted at the library of University of Indonesia. This research uses qualitative approach with case study. The data was collected by conducting observation, interview, and document analysis. The finding shows there are some of book mutilation and vandalism activities caused by users. This study suggests that the library needs to conduct a user preservation education program to prevent vandalism.
