The Academic Promise Test has been used to predict achievement over a three-month period. A study is needed to determine if the APT can predict achievement over a longer period of time (an academic year). This study is intended to determine how well the APT can predict pupils' achievement over a one year period on an achievement test battery and in terms of their average grades.

Many of the problems of an individual pupil's education can be solved through a harmonious attitude between his parents and teacher. Through this harmonious relationship, the parent can find out what the child is like at school and the teacher can find out what the child is like at home. From this composite picture, the parents and teacher can determine what the child needs, both at home and at school. The current paper is approached from the point of view of presenting a synthesis of the present status of studies in creativity and offering some guidelines for application of the studies to the work of the educator. These guidelines follow the threefold function of the guidance program but have reference to the wider scope of the entire school program. The study is an attempt to focus attention on the identification of creativity by the administrator, the teacher and the counselor for the sake of the child and for the good of society.

Guidance is the key to successful education. For maximum learning, growth, and development, the "spirit" of guidance must permeate the school board, the administration, and every aspect of the educational program. The purpose of this study was (1) to review the literature concerning counselor-parent interview and methods of test interpretation; (2) to report a personal survey of 28 practicing counselors designed to sample the present-day practices of counselor-parent interview and test interpretation; (3) to suggest a method worked out by one school district which has proved effective to handle test interpretation.
