Journal Of Middle East and Islamic Studies
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) may have withdrawn its troops from Yemen, but its influence remains substantial and significant. From the first stage of the war, Saudi Arabia focused on the north of Yemen, while the UAE actively engaged in the north's south and coastal areas. Not only trains fighters, but the UAE also provides them with financial and political support. This is a descriptive-analytical article, using qualitative methods with data and works of literature, collected various books, journals, and online resources related to the topic. Furthermore, the author uses the "devide et impera" theory to elaborate, examine, and investigate …

The study investigates Umm Salama from multiple perspectives to draw a rich picture of her. A detailed review of Umm Salama's life is presented, her genealogy reviewed, her character explored, her contributions to …

Archived Theses and Dissertations
The architecture of the state mosques of the Arabian Gulf in the 20th century is an overlooked subject. Their various styles of Islamic architecture, lavish details, luxurious decoration and enormous scale are all intended to convey a message of elegance and power. While some research has been carried out on the Gulf States as part of modern urban development in general, little has been done on State Mosque architecture in particular, and few have been studied or even published in detail. Nevertheless, this region underwent more major changes in its contemporary mosque architecture from its traditional architecture than any of …

Library Philosophy and Practice (e-journal)
The Qur'an views the Library as an essential means to be able to change a nation that initially did not understand anything into a country that is knowledgeable and has a high civilization. This is evidenced by the mention of the roles of libraries in the Qur'an, which at least consists of several concepts, the concept of reading, the concept of writing, the idea of science, the concept of education, the concept of worship, the concept of communication and information. The command to read means that Allah SWT wants reading facilities so that the teaching of reading becomes a reality …

As our Arabic language is marked by its capacity of expression, abundance of words and diversity of meanings, I want in this research to look into one word from the holy Quran which represents the supreme style. This word is "favor" which is mentioned in many places in the holy Quran. It denotes different meanings in one place not to mention its meanings in all places. "Maroof" in the verses that call for maroof bidding, denotes monotheism (to say that there is only one God), and belief in the prophecy of Mohamed (God's blessing and peace be upon him). In …

Sufism And Sufi Gratitude, Ali Al-Ashi
Jerash for Research and Studies Journal مجلة جرش للبحوث والدراسات
The actual beginning of Sufism in Islam started at real utilization of the revealed verses to be imposed in and out by good will and purity. Then the views of Sufism in knowledge and Gnosticism and their methods in revelation and illumines emerged. Some of them imitated the philosophers in an attempt to portray existentialism and divinity and applying tact and rationalism. This approach was confronted by many of the imams of Sunnah as deviation from the religion and the aims of true Islam, Other who rationalized as much as they could and rejected whatever unacceptable respected it. As it …

This essay treats a subject of great importance. It is denial of borrowed objects, namely an object lended to others to use it without spoiling, then obsecuring it. A sequence to such abehaviour is the creation of doubt among people and it also causes the relations and the good deeds to be cut among people. Hence, Islam legislated apenalty to such aconduct in order to stop it. As scholars (Fukaha) were different for the estimation of the penalty to this type of state, the subject is needed to be in restighted to put the foundations to this state and to …

This seems evident in the terms which have similar expressions but different meanings

Perceiving The Intangible: Introspective & Meditational Practices In Moroccan Sufism, Anna Gray Morales
Independent Study Project (ISP) Collection
Sufism has earned an exponentially prominent role within Morocco’s political and social arenas through recent decades. The Moroccan monarchy’s endorsement of the religious variant and its prevalence in pop-cultural events, national journalism, and literature are a few indicators of its growing influence. However, the tradition is, by no means, a modern construction and has existed since the beginning of the larger Islamic tradition. What qualities, then, has granted Sufism its relevance as a cornerstone of Moroccan society today? Its chief focus on introspective and meditational practices, rather than physical religious discipline, may foster a more inclusive and liberal form of …
