การออกแบบลวดลายซ้ำทางเรขศิลป์เพื่อสื่อสารอัตลักษณ์วัฒนธรรมไทยมลายูสำหรับเจเนอเรชั่นวาย, สุกรี เจะปูเตะ

งานวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์หลักคือ 1) เพื่อศึกษาแนวทางการออกแบบลวดลายซ้ำทางเรขศิลป์ ที่แสดงออกถึงความเป็นวัฒนธรรมไทยมลายู 2) เพื่อหาแนวทางการสื่อสารอัตลักษณ์วัฒนธรรมไทยมลายู สำหรับเจเนอเรชั่น วาย ซึ่งมีขั้นตอนวิจัยโดยศึกษาข้อมูลและสัมภาษณ์ผู้เชี่ยวชาญในพื้นที่ เพื่อสร้างแบบสอบถามนำมาวิเคราะห์เป็นแนวทางเพื่อออกแบบลวดลายซ้ำ และนำผลที่ได้ใช้เป็นเครื่องมือสำหรับทำแบบสอบถามสนทนากลุ่ม (Focus Group) กับกลุ่มเป้าหมายเจเนอเรชั่น วาย โดยผลวิจัยพบว่า สิ่งที่สามารถสื่อสารวัฒนธรรมไทยมลายูนั้นสามารถแบ่งตามแนวทางรากวัฒนธรรมได้ 8 หมวดหมู่ ซึ่งได้แก่ 1) อาหาร 2) เครื่องแต่งกาย 3) ส่วนประกอบของสถาปัตยกรรม 4) ประเพณี 5) การละเล่น 6) ความเชื่อ พิธีกรรม 7) หัตถกรรม 8) วรรณกรรมพื้นบ้านและตำนาน ซึ่งสิ่งที่สื่อสารวัฒนธรรมไทยมลายูส่วนใหญ่เป็นเรื่องของวิถีชีวิต มีความเกี่ยวข้องกับอาหารการกิน อาชีพ ประเพณีท้องถิ่น สิ่งของเครื่องใช้ การละเล่นพื้นบ้าน รวมไปถึงเรื่องเล่าขานที่เป็นอดีต และรูปทรงมีความเหมาะสมที่ใช้สื่อสารวัฒนธรรมไทยมลายู คือรูปทรง ธรรมชาติ (Organic) รูปทรงเขียนมือ (Hand-Draw) รูปทรงเรขาคณิต (Geometric) และรูปทรงอุบัติเหตุ (Accidental) และมีบุคลิกภาพสีที่เหมาะสม คือ โบราณ (Classic) มีชีวิตชีวา (Dynamic) ดูสง่างาม (Elegant) และดูเป็นธรรมชาติ (Natural)

This practice-led PhD research investigated alternate forms of articulation to relate stories of place-making, as narrative or object, and added threads to the complex meshwork and herstory of the Country. The research was conducted in ‘The Country’, of the north-eastern Goldfields and Yalgorup Lakes in Western Australia. These two non-urban sites provided unique experiences of the bush, local people’s stories and understandings of time. The research investigated the implications of non-urban spaces as studios in relation to the concepts of place, time and narrative.

การศึกษาวิจัยทฤษฎีเชิงช่างศิลปะอิสลามที่ให้อิทธิพลกับลวดลายประดับสมัยอยุธยา เป็นการศึกษาทำความเข้าใจตั้งแต่ต้นกำเนิดศิลปะวิทยาการด้านศิลปะอิสลาม การนำมาปรับใช้ในยุคสมัยต่างๆของโลกอิสลาม ที่มาแนวคิด กฎเกณฑ์ สุนทรียศาสตร์ ความงาม จากความศรัทธาของศาสนา เกิดเป็นทฤษฎีโครงสร้างสู่การจัดระเบียบโครงสร้างต่างๆ รวมไปถึงลวดลายประดับ ศาสตร์และองค์ความรู้ที่ปราชญ์ชาวมุสลิมได้ให้คุณูปการกับโลกใบนี้นับพันปี ก่อเกิดเป็นทฤษฎีเชิงช่างศิลปะอิสลาม ศาสตร์แห่งเรขาคณิตอิสลามหรือ Islamic Geometry เป็นหนึ่งในองค์ความรู้เชิงช่างที่สำคัญ เป็นอัตลักษณ์ที่สรรค์สร้างให้ศิลปะอิสลามมีความโดดเด่นเป็นเอกลักษณ์ที่ประจักษ์และยกย่องของโลกถึงความงดงามเหล่านั้น รูปแบบสกุลช่างศิลปะอิสลามที่อาจส่งอิทธิพลผ่านความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างชาติ จากหลักฐานอันโดดเด่นในสมัยอยุธยาที่กล่าวถึงความสัมพันธ์ที่มีต่อชาวมุสลิมทั้งรูปแบบสกุลช่างศิลปะอิสลามเปอร์เซียและสกุลช่างศิลปะอิสลามอินเดีย มูลเหตุข้อสันนิษฐานของนักวิชาการไทยในอดีตที่กล่าวถึงลวดลายประดับศิลปะไทยในสมัยอยุธยาที่มีอิทธิพลลวดลายประดับจากศิลปะอิสลาม เมื่อนำมาตรวจสอบด้วยเครื่องมือทฤษฎีเชิงช่างศิลปะอิสลามแล้วพบว่ามีความสัมพันธ์อย่างมากในเชิงลึกตั้งแต่สมัยอยุธยาตอนต้นจนถึงอยุธยาตอนปลาย มิติของการถ่ายเทองค์ความรู้ ช่างสมัยอยุธยาจำเป็นต้องมีความเข้าใจและความชำนาญในทฤษฎีเชิงช่างศิลปะอิสลามเป็นอย่างดี จึงได้นำระบบโครงสร้างเหล่านี้มาพัฒนาและประยุกต์ใช้กับลวดลายศิลปะไทยพื้นถิ่นได้อย่างลงตัวทำให้เห็นถึงความสัมพันธ์ของชาวไทยต่อชาวมุสลิมที่มีมาแต่อดีตมาช้านาน ทฤษฎีเชิงช่างศิลปะอิสลามนี้เป็นเครื่องยืนยันว่ากระบวนการเชิงช่างศิลปะไทยในอดีตนั้นมีการคำนวณสัดส่วนอันงดงามต่างๆ อย่างเป็นระบบแบบแผนจากการคำนวณเชิงคณิตศาสตร์อย่างชัดเจน ทฤษฎีเชิงช่างนี้อาจเป็นกุญแจไขความลับของความงดงาม ฟื้นความเข้าใจทฤษฎีเชิงช่างของศิลปะไทยสมัยอยุธยาที่ได้รับการยอมรับในความงดงามอันวิจิตรเหล่านั้นซึ่งได้สูญหายไปกับกาลสมัยอยุธยาก็เป็นได้

การวิจัยภาพจิตรกรรมฝาผนังในเขตพื้นที่จังหวัดจันทบุรี ประเทศไทย เป็นการสำรวจ ศึกษา เพื่อค้นหารูปแบบของจิตรกรรมฝาผนังในท้องถิ่นบริเวณนี้ พบว่ามีรูปลักษณะสำคัญ 2 แบบ คือ รูปแบบ ช่างหลวง ตั้งอยู่ในเขตเมือง และรูปแบบช่างท้องถิ่น ตั้งอยู่นอกเขตเมือง โดยมีแหล่งจิตรกรรมฝาผนังริมฝั่งทะเลตอนล่าง ที่มีเนื้อหาการเขียนภาพแตกต่างกันไป ส่วนใหญ่เขียนเกี่ยวกับพุทธประวัติและทศชาติ รูปแบบจิตรกรรมฝาผนังช่างหลวง มีวิธีการเขียนสืบทอดไปตามแบบแผนดั้งเดิม แสดงให้เห็นถึงวิวัฒนาการของรูปแบบในเขตเมือง โดยมีจิตรกรรมฝาผนังแบบยุคทองสมัยรัตนโกสินทร์เป็นหลักฐานที่มีคุณค่า ส่วนรูปแบบจิตรกรรมฝาผนังช่างท้องถิ่น มีลักษณะแบบเฉพาะของตัวเอง ซึ่งสะท้อนสาระของเรื่องราวในชุมชนสังคมประวัติศาสตร์และวิถีชีวิตได้อย่างน่าสนใจ มีอัตลักษณ์ของชุมชนกับจิตรกรรมฝาผนังที่มีแบบอย่าง และของกลุ่มเชื้อชาติที่ต่างออกไป โดยมีจันทบุรีเป็นแหล่งอารยธรรมของจิตรกรรมฝาผนังภาคตะวันออก

พุทธศาสนสุภาษิตคำว่า "อโรคา ปรมา ลาภา" ที่มีความหมายว่าการไม่มีโรคเป็นลาภอันประเสริฐนั้นดูจะเห็นได้ชัดเจน เพราะว่าในปัจจุบันนี้คนเราเริ่มที่จะหันมาดูแลตัวเองมากขึ้น ห่วงใยสุขภาพมากขึ้น ดังจะเห็นได้จากกระแสการออกกำลังกายและวีธีการรับประทานอาหารที่คำนึงถึงสุขภาพมากขึ้น ซึ่งนอกจากการออกกำลังกายแล้วการบำบัดก็ยังเป็นอีกหนึ่งวิธีในการดูแลสุขภาพและมีมากมายหลายวิธี เช่น การนวดประเภทต่างๆ เป็นต้น จากการศึกษาวิจัยผู้วิจัยได้พบว่ามีวิธีการบำบัดซึ่งเคยได้รับความนิยมอย่างมากช่วงหนึ่งคือการบำบัดด้วยหินสีที่สามารถนำมาใช้ร่วมกับการนวด การทำสมาธิหรือแม้กระทั่งแค่พกพาติดตัวไว้เป็นเครื่องประดับเฉยๆ ซึ่งผู้วิจัยจึงได้แนวคิดที่ว่าทฤษฎีหินสีบำบัดนั้นก็น่าจะสามารถที่จะแสดงถึงความเป็นสุขภาพที่ดีได้ จึงเป็นที่มาของงานวิจัยฉบับนี้ซึ่งได้มีวัตถุประสงค์ในการศึกษาเพื่อหาองค์ประกอบทางเรขศิลป์ที่ได้จากทฤษฎีหินสีบำบัดเพื่อนำมาใช้ในการออกแบบที่สามารถแสดงถึงสุขภาพที่ดีได้ โดยผู้วิจัยได้นำทฤษฎีหินสีบำบัดมาหาความเชื่อมโยงกับองค์ประกอบทางเรขศิลป์โดยการสัมภาษณ์และสร้างแบบสอบถามกับผู้เชี่ยวชาญที่เกี่ยวข้องเพื่อหาคำตอบของงานวิจัย จากผลวิจัยพบว่าสามารถระบุองค์ประกอบทางเรขศิลป์ที่สำคัญได้แก่ ตัวอักษรทั้งภาษาไทยและภาษาอังกฤษ กลุ่มบุคลิกภาพการสื่อสาร เทคนิคการสร้างสรรค์ภาพประกอบ และโครงสร้างรูปหลายเหลี่ยม โดยแยกเป็นกลุ่มคำตอบที่สามารถแสดงถึงสุขภาพที่ดีตามรูปแบบต่างๆของการใช้การบำบัดด้วยทฤษฎีหินสีบำบัด

The Danse Macabre is an allegory in which all living things -grand and otherwise -are equally escorted to death’s embrace. Most cultures, from ancient to contemporary, have a belief in an afterlife and interpreted death through funerary practices and religious artwork. Such spirituality associated with Danse Macabre is especially influential within the arts, such as visual storytelling. The thesis exhibition I create will be an installation that is centered around a fictional narrative starring a vivacious mental patient, and containing the people, places, and things in which she interacts with in her life at the hospital. As the audience moves through the gallery, they are immersed into the main character's world, seeing and analyzing the rooms and objects through the eyes and mind of the protagonist. Assessment of practical tasks, as opposed to that of theoretical tasks, has been considered to be problematic, mainly because it is usually resource intensive and the scoring is subjective. Most practical tasks need to be assessed on site or involve products that need to be collected, stored, or transported.
