Northcrest includes a significant collection of mid-century modern architectural examples. This area includes a variety of historic sites, such as a battlefield, ruins, a cemetery, archaeological sites, and landscape features. This Historic District Information Form (HDIF) can be submitted as an application for the official National Register Nomination.

Prepared by the Spring 2001 Preservation Planning class. This Historic Preservation Plan contains the developmental history of the town of Gay, identifies the town’s historic resources and provides recommendations for the preservation of those valuable properties after they are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The purpose of this preservation plan is to provide recommendations for the city on historic designations, and preservation guidelines for the maintenance and rehabilitation of historic buildings. The importance of community involvement is also emphasized, as well as the vital role strategies for community education play in the success of a preservation plan.

This Historic Structure Report attempts to define the historical context and physical condition of the women's and men's comfort stations at Oakland Cemetery. The comfort stations were constructed in 1908, fifty-eight years after the opening of Oakland, in order to provide adequate public restroom facilities for the large crowds who visited the cemetery during its early history. A group effort has been made to research and document the history of the two comfort buildings, assess their current status, and make recommendations for treatment.
