Heritage Preservation Projects

Prepared by the Preservation Planning class in spring 2012. These design guidelines act as general policies regarding structures, additions, new construction, and site work for the proposed Lithonia Historic District. Lithonia’s proposed guidelines have been drawn to include a commercial and residential historic districts. The guidelines would serve as reference to both those included within the proposed district and outside of it. Lithonia is also included in the Arabia Mountain National Heritage Area. The guidelines would act to preserve Lithonia’s historic character.
