Background: Rising cancer incidence and improved survivorship are straining the oncology workforce, increasing reliance on Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). However, there is a lack of standardized educational resources for APP radiation oncology training across practice settings. Most APPs receive variable, resource-dependent, and on-the-job training. Evidence shows that the lack of standardized training leads to gaps in foundational knowledge, reduced confidence in toxicity management, inconsistent role development, and variable satisfaction with training and transition into practice.

Objective: To determine the extent to which self-management has been investigated and reported in literature focused on the transition from pediatric to adult healthcare for youth and young adults with childhood-onset chronic conditions (CCCs).

Introduction: An estimated 1.2 million youth with CCCs are expected to enter adulthood annually in the United States. As these youth transition from pediatric to adult health systems, they are at risk for experiencing critical gaps in care continuity and adverse health outcomes. Health care transition models have emerged to address these gaps, with self-management recognized as a critical component of successful transition.

Notable updates include lower blood pressure targets for older adults with septic shock, continued support for early fluid resuscitation, the selective use of rapid diagnostic testing to guide antibiotic therapy, and increased flexibility in vasopressor selection for patients with cardiac dysfunction. These recommendations are based on emerging evidence aimed at improving patient outcomes while reducing unnecessary interventions and treatment-related complications. Simulation is a critical component of nursing education, providing students with a safe environment to develop clinical judgment and confidence before entering clinical practice. However, students may experience anxiety and difficulty meeting competency expectations during simulation. This quality improvement project evaluated whether structured simulation remediation improved confidence and clinical judgment among associate degree nursing students. The project was guided by the NLN Jeffries Simulation Framework, and Kotter’s 8-Step Change Model supported implementation. A quantitative, quasi-experimental pre-/post- intervention design was used. Background: Medical adhesive-related skin injury (MARSI) is a common complication associated with acrylic-based adhesive removal. Topical agents such as 0.9% NaCl (normal saline), white petrolatum, and 70% alcohol are commonly used to assist adhesive removal; however, their effectiveness in reducing MARSI remains unclear.

Methods: This single-blind randomized controlled trial with a within-subject design included 56 healthy adults. Acrylic-based adhesives were applied to four sites on the upper arms. Adhesive removal was performed on days 3 and 6 using three interventions (normal saline, petrolatum, alcohol) and one control (no topical agent). Medication nonadherence affects 50% to 70% of individuals with serious mental illness. This contributes to symptom relapses, hospitalization, poor treatment outcomes, and higher healthcare costs. The purpose of this quality improvement project was to evaluate the impact of a competency-based Medication Adherence Rating Scale (MARS) training program on provider confidence and standardized adherence screening in a psychiatric clinic, to improve confidence and increase use of a standardized assessment. Mental health care access in the US faces systemic barriers that delay treatment and disrupt care, often worsening patient outcomes. Unmet social needs of health, such as transportation, financial, and housing issues, lead to missed appointments and fragmented care, thereby increasing health disparities. This quality improvement project evaluated whether targeted staff education improved the identification and response to social needs that affect appointment adherence. Literature demonstrates that the inability to visually assess patients limits clinical assessment accuracy, communication effectiveness, and nurse confidence.
