Purpose: The Acute Leukemia Advocates Network (ALAN) sought to determine which factors are most associated with poor quality of life (QoL) in patients with acute leukemia and to determine key issues and unmet needs through administration of an online survey distributed worldwide via partner patient organizations.

Background: People have long found support by interacting with animals, which has developed into a health care modality called animal-assisted interactions (AAI). In the past 10 years, AAI has increased as a way to support college students’ mental health; however, there is no comprehensive evidence on the effectiveness of these programs.
Method: A scoping review was conducted using the JBI and PRISMA-ScR criteria. Empirical articles were identified through Academic Search Premier (EBSCOhost), PsychINFO (Ovid), and Web of Science using three groups of keywords: AAI, college students, and mental health.

Asian Americans represent both the fastest-growing population and the smallest group of consumers of mental health services (MHS) in the United States. The current study aimed to identify factors associated with MHS use and explore differences in MHS use by nativity among Asian Americans. Data from the 2015-2018 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) were used to examine past-year MHS use among Asian Americans ages 18 and older. Mindfulness meditation can provide salutary therapeutic benefits, as well as lead advanced practitioners to states of calm and equanimity. In this paper, we argue that such forms of meditation may subtly entrap practitioners in circular, self-reflexive feedback loops. Because these meditation traps fail to clearly discern the operations of mind, they offer a temporary oasis of peace within an unaltered dualistic realm of mind that leaves the root delusion of self-identity intact. การวิจัยครั้งนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงพรรณนา โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาความชุก พฤติกรรม ทัศนคติ รวมถึงปัจจัยที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการใช้สารเสพติดของทหารเกณฑ์ ได้ทำการศึกษาในทหารเกณฑ์ สังกัดค่ายทหาร จังหวัดราชบุรี ช่วงเดือนกรกฎาคม - กันยายน ปี 2566 จำนวน 400 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยประกอบด้วย แบบสอบถามข้อมูลทั่วไป แบบสอบถามทัศนคติต่อการใช้สารเสพติด แบบคัดกรองประสบการณ์ในการใช้ยาสูบ สุรา และสารเสพติดตัวอื่นๆ แบบสอบถามความผิดปกติของการใช้สารเสพติด และการตรวจปัสสาวะ สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ คือ สถิติเชิงพรรณนา และสถิติเชิงอนุมาน ผลการศึกษาพบความชุกการใช้สารอย่างน้อยหนึ่งชนิดตลอดช่วงชีวิตและช่วง 3 เดือนที่ผ่านมา คิดเป็นร้อยละ 86.7 และ 71.5 ตามลำดับ สารที่มีการใช้มากที่สุด 5 อันดับแรก คือ เครื่องดื่มแอลกอฮอล์ ผลิตภัณฑ์ยาสูบ ใบกระท่อม กัญชา และสารผสมน้ำต้มใบกระท่อม พบผู้ที่ใช้ผลิตภัณฑ์ยาสูบ (82.68%) กัญชา (50.00%) มีความเสี่ยงระดับปานกลาง ในกลุ่มผู้ใช้สารแต่ละชนิด พบความผิดปกติจากการใช้สาร 76.76%, 37.38%, 37.37%, 34.14%, 27.27, 26.67% ในกลุ่มผู้ใช้ผลิตภัณฑ์ยาสูบ, เครื่องดื่มแอลกอฮอล์, กัญชา, ใบกระท่อม สารผสมน้ำต้มใบกระท่อมและกลุ่มแอมเฟตามีน ตามลำดับ กลุ่มตัวอย่างส่วนใหญ่มีทัศนคติเชิงลบต่อการใช้สารเสพติด การมีระดับการศึกษาที่ต่ำและมีรายได้เพียงพอเป็นปัจจัยที่มีความสัมพันธ์และเป็นปัจจัยทำนายการใช้สารเสพติดของทหารเกณฑ์ สังกัดค่ายทหาร จังหวัดราชบุรี (P

The Causal Relationships Of Work-Life Balance, Psychological Well-Being, Burnout, And Related Factors Among Public Secondary School Teachers In Bangkok: A Mixed-Method Research, Gunchanon Khawda

This study is a parallel mixed-method research, consisting of quantitative and qualitative studies. The objective is to examine the causal relationships among work-life balance, psychological well-being, burnout, emotional intelligence, emotion regulation, and psychological capital among public secondary school teachers in Bangkok. The quantitative results revealed that the study comprised 436 teachers, with an average age of 35.12 years old (SD = 9.56). The structural equation modeling analysis found that the model fit the empirical data (Chi-square = 348.89, df = 172, p < 0.001, Chi-square/df = 2.03, RMSEA = 0.05, GFI = 0.93, AGFI = 0.91, CFI = 0.97). Emotional intelligence had a significant positive effect on work-life balance (Beta = 0.43, p = 0.002) and psychological well-being (Beta = 0.29, p = 0.001). Psychological capital also had a significant positive effect on work-life balance (Beta = 0.35, p = 0.03) and psychological well-being (Beta = 0.51, p < 0.001). The qualitative study included in-depth interviews with 6 school administrators and focus group discussions with 20 teachers. The qualitative results demonstrated that school administrators and teachers had a convergent opinion on factors contributing to poor work-life balance, such as workload apart from teaching, urgent work during holidays, the burden of caring for family members, and financial debt. Additionally, factors contributing to teacher burnout, such as excessive workload, disliked assignments, monotonous tasks, and students lacking motivation to study, were identified. The merged results of the quantitative and qualitative studies can be summarized in four topics: (1) Teachers’ good work-life balance affects better psychological well-being and happiness, while poor work-life balance might affect greater burnout; (2) Teachers’ emotional intelligence and psychological capital affect good work-life balance; (3) Teachers’ emotional intelligence and psychological capital might reduce burnout; and (4) Teachers' emotional intelligence and psychological capital positively influence psychological well-being. In conclusion, teachers with high levels of emotional intelligence and psychological capital are likely to have better work-life balance and psychological well-being; in turn, these might reduce their burnout.

Background: Children in the US spend an average of 7.5 hours a day in front of a screen, well above the recommended 2 hours per day for entertainment. Screen time of greater than 3 hours per day is associated with higher body mass indices and insulin resistance that can lead to type 2 diabetes. Providers should review and reinforce age-appropriate screen time guidelines at well-child visits. Screen time education and behavior contracts can be used to facilitate age-appropriate screen time.

In the United States, approximately 580,000 individuals were homeless on a single night in 2020. Homelessness can be categorized into three subgroups: sheltered homeless, unsheltered homeless, and unstably housed. Few studies have examined the relations between homelessness subtypes, shelter service utilization, levels of stress experienced, and health risk factors. วัตถุประสงค์ : เพื่อศึกษาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างความสามารถในการฟื้นพลัง รูปแบบการเผชิญปัญหา และคุณภาพชีวิตในผู้ป่วยนอกที่มีภาวะซึมเศร้าที่เข้ารับการตรวจรักษาที่โรงพยาบาลธรรมศาสตร์เฉลิมพระเกียรติ วิธีการวิจัย : การวิจัยเชิงพรรณนา ณ จุดเวลาใดเวลาหนึ่ง ในกลุ่มตัวอย่างผู้ป่วยนอกที่มีภาวะซึมเศร้า ที่เข้ารับการตรวจรักษาที่โรงพยาบาลธรรมศาสตร์เฉลิมพระเกียรติ จำนวน 110 คน ผ่านการใช้แบบสอบถาม ได้แก่ แบบสอบถามข้อมูลส่วนบุคคล แบบประเมินโรคซึมเศร้า (PHQ-9) แบบวัดความแข็งแกร่งและยืดหยุ่นของชีวิต (CD-RISC) แบบสอบถามการเผชิญปัญหา และแบบวัดคุณภาพชีวิต (WHOQOL-BREF) ทดสอบความสัมพันธ์เชิงสาเหตุระหว่างการฟื้นพลัง ภาวะซึมเศร้า รูปแบบการเผชิญปัญหา และคุณภาพชีวิต ผลการศึกษา : จากกลุ่มตัวอย่าง 110 คน พบว่า ค่าเฉลี่ยคะแนนความสามารถในการฟื้นพลังเท่ากับ 20.5 (ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตราฐาน 7) ร้อยละ 60 ใช้กลวิธีเผชิญปัญหาแบบมุ่งจัดการกับปัญหาอยู่ในระดับดีมาก ร้อยละ 77.3 มีคุณภาพชีวิตโดยรวมอยู่ในระดับกลาง ภาวะซึมเศร้าและรูปแบบการเผชิญปัญหาสามารถอธิบายความแปรผันของการฟื้นพลังร้อยละ 26 และการฟื้นพลังสามารถอธิบายความผันแปรของคุณภาพชีวิตร้อยละ 55.30 สรุป: ภาวะซึมเศร้าและรูปแบบการเผชิญปัญหามีความสัมพันธ์กับคุณภาพชีวิตผ่านการฟื้นพลัง

วัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อจะศึกษาความยืดหยุ่นทางอารมณ์ ประสิทธิภาพในการปฏิบัติงาน และภาวะสุขภาพจิตของพยาบาลวิชาชีพที่ปฏิบัติงานในโรงพยาบาลจุฬาลงกรณ์ หากได้ทราบถึงปัจจัยที่เกี่ยวข้องกับความยืดหยุ่นทางอารมณ์ดังกล่าว ก็จะเป็นประโยชน์ในการเป็นแนวทางเพื่อสร้างเสริมประสิทธิภาพในการทำงานได้ ซึ่งจะส่งผลที่ดีกับสุขภาพจิตของพยาบาลวิชาชีพ ในโรงพยาบาลจุฬาลงกรณ์ การศึกษานี้เป็นการศึกษาเชิงพรรณา ณ ช่วงเวลาใดเวลาหนึ่ง โดยกลุ่มตัวอย่างที่เป็นพยาบาลวิชาชีพ โรงพยาบาลจุฬาลงกรณ์ จำนวน 488 คน ตั้งแต่เดือนตุลาคม พ.ศ.2566 – มีนาคม พ.ศ.2567 โดยผู้เข้าร่วมการศึกษาตอบ แบบสอบถามทั้งหมดด้วยตัวเอง โดยมีคำถาม 6 ส่วน ได้แก่ 1) แบบสอบถามข้อมูลทั่วไป, 2) แบบวัดประสิทธิภาพการทำงานของบุคลากร, 3) แบบวัดความไวของอารมณ์ความรู้สึก, 4) แบบสอบถามสุขภาพทั่วไป, 5) แบบประเมินความยืดหยุ่นทางอารมณ์, 6) แบบประเมินการสนับสนุนทางสังคม นำเสนอเป็นค่าสัดส่วน ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ค่าสูงสุด ค่าต่ำสุด และส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน หลังจากนั้นทำการวิเคราะห์หาปัจจัยที่เกี่ยวข้องกับความยืดหยุ่นทางอารมณ์ และความเกี่ยวข้องระหว่างความยืดหยุ่นทางอารมณ์ ประสิทธิภาพในการปฏิบัติงาน และภาวะสุขภาพจิต โดยใช้สถิติทดสอบไคสแควร์ หลังจากนั้นทำการวิเคราะห์หาปัจจัยทำนายความยืดหยุ่นทางอารมณ์ที่สูง โดยอาศัยการวิเคราะห์ถดถอยโลจิสติกโดยกำหนดนัยสำคัญทางสถิติไว้ที่น้อยกว่า 0.05 ผลการศึกษา พบว่าพยาบาลส่วนใหญ่ (ร้อยละ 58.0) มีความยืดหยุ่นทางอารมณ์อยู่ในระดับปานกลาง โดยมีค่าคะแนนเฉลี่ย 61.58 (ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน=7.30) ส่วนใหญ่ (ร้อยละ 77.9) มีภาวะสุขภาพจิตอยู่ในระดับปกติ และส่วนใหญ่ (ร้อยละ 73.2) มีประสิทธิภาพในการปฎิบัติงานอยู่ในระดับสูง ปัจจัยที่เกี่ยวข้องกับความยืดหยุ่นทางอารมณ์ที่สูง ได้แก่ อายุมากกว่า 34 ปี (p

Amnestic Mild Cognitive Impairment (aMCI) is the deterioration of cognitive function, where those with the amnestic subtype have memory decline and may conversion to Alzheimer’s disease. This study is both a systematic review and meta-analysis on 3.798 MCI individuals and 6.063 healthy controls and a case-control study. The case-control study included 121 MCI and normal volunteers aged 60-75. Collectively, the dissertation aimed to explore the relationship between biomarkers, psychological symptoms, and neuropsychological assessment in MCI. Lesbian, gay, and bisexual individuals (LGBI) have a higher rate of mental health disorders than the general population. The mental health disparities experienced by LGBI are positively correlated with higher internalized homonegativity (IH) levels, which impacts their functioning at the unconscious, cognitive, and interpersonal levels. Thus, effective interventions targeting the mental health of LGBI must consider IH's intrapsychic, cognitive, and interpersonal nature. An integrative psychotherapy approach addressing the mental health and IH of LGBI is needed to address the intrapsychic, cognitive, and interpersonal factors at play.

Transgender and Gender Diverse (TGD) individuals are underserved in communities despite experiencing disproportionately higher rates of mental health distress. The cisheteronomativity of society creates chronic stressors that impact the mental health outcomes of TGD individuals.
