Family caregivers who live with and care for individuals with severe mental disorders face serious issues. This study aimed to investigate the burdens of these family caregivers. This descriptive phenomenological study involved 15 family caregivers who looked after persons with mental disorders in Malang City, Indonesia; the participants were selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data were gathered using individual in-depth interviews and observations, and then analyzed inductively. A study conducted in 2019 showed that approximately 50% of the 187 million patients in the US health care system did not follow their medication plan as prescribed. This means they failed to adhere to the drug regimen or to take the medication for the entire prescribed duration. Adherence rates for most medications used to treat chronic conditions, such as diabetes and hypertension, usually fall in the range of 50% to 60%, even with patients who have good insurance and drug benefits. INTRODUCTION: Patients are being encouraged to complete forms electronically using patient portals rather than on paper, but willingness of older adults to make this transition is uncertain.

METHODS: The authors analyzed data for 4105 Kaiser Permanente Northern California 2020 Member Health Survey respondents aged 65-85 years who answered a question about willingness to complete online forms and questionnaires using a patient portal. Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) poses significant morbidity and mortality in hospitals. Rapid, accurate risk stratification of MRSA is crucial for optimizing antibiotic therapy. Our study introduced a deep learning model, PyTorch_EHR, which leverages electronic health record (EHR) time-series data, including wide-variety patient specific data, to predict MRSA culture positivity within two weeks. 8,164 MRSA and 22,393 non-MRSA patient events from Memorial Hermann Hospital System, Houston, Texas are used for model development. A limited number of healthcare workers and cost constraints encumber primary care access in the Philippines. To test telehealth as a low-cost and effective solution, a large-scale digital health clinic was implemented in the selected urban and rural communities. In collaboration with local authorities, our pilot telemedicine clinic was implemented for 3 days in January 2023. Patients were registered, and their vitals were assessed before they were seen by a remote US-based licensed physician who provided treatment rec-ommendations. Background: Electronic Medical Record (EMR) education and training for RNs should be multifaceted and targeted to the RN clinical workflow. Input from direct care RNs is essential to ensure EMR education is relevant and effective. Shared Governance at a community hospital identified quality and safety concerns among inpatient RNs. RNs reported that belongings inventories were not consistently documented in the EMR for Emergency Department (ED) admissions. Hospital policy requires belongings inventory EMR documentation for all admitted patients. An audit of charts for ED admissions over three months revealed only 5% compliance with this policy.
