BACKGROUND: Chronic lung disease affects nearly 37 million Americans and often results in significant quality of life impairment and healthcare burden. Despite guidelines calling for palliative care (PC) integration into pulmonary care as a vital part of chronic lung disease management, existing PC models have limited access and lack scalability. Use of telehealth to provide PC offers a potential solution to these barriers. This study explored perceptions of patients with chronic lung disease regarding a telehealth integrated palliative care (TIPC) model, with plans to use findings to inform development of an intervention protocol for future testing.

Behavioral health (BH) disorders are highly prevalent in the United States and especially concerning in rural communities which disproportionately lack access to BH services. While models for integrating BH into primary care, such as psychiatric collaborative care management (CoCM), have shown promise in mitigating the BH crisis, implementation in rural communities has proved challenging.
This dissertation examines implementation of CoCM nationally and in rural settings through three distinct aims. BACKGROUND: Clinical decision support (CDS) tools that incorporate machine learning-derived content have the potential to transform clinical care by augmenting clinicians' expertise. To realize this potential, such tools must be designed to fit the dynamic work systems of the clinicians who use them. We propose the use of academic detailing-personal visits to clinicians by an expert in a specific health IT tool-as a method for both ensuring the correct understanding of that tool and its evidence base and identifying factors influencing the tool's implementation.

BACKGROUND: Family involvement and comfort are equally important in palliative care. Dignity undertook a new meaning and novel challenges as a result of restrictions on visits and companionship during the pandemic. Family-centered family dignity interventions have been shown to be effective in increasing patients' sense of dignity, increasing levels of hope, and reducing psychological distress; however, the effectiveness in enhancing family adaptability and intimacy in the survivor-caregiver binary and reducing expected grief have been inconclusive.

The use of Telecytology in conjunction with rapid on-site evaluation (ROSE) is currently at the forefront of discussion among cytologists and cytopathologists. In this meta-narrative review, the advancements of Telecytology and ROSE within the discipline of Cytology are discussed. Advancements in telecytology and ROSE enable off-site cytology slide evaluation and diagnosis through digital image transfer. ROSE allows for preliminary cytological assessment during image-guided biopsy procedures to determine specimen adequacy. The meta-narrative review concluded that the combination of these two technologies increases the efficacy of patient diagnosis without sacrificing the quality of patient care.

BACKGROUND: Digital neuropsychological tests reliably capture real-time, process-based behavior that traditional paper/pencil tests cannot detect, enabling earlier detection of neurodegenerative illness. We assessed relations between informant-based subtle and mild functional decline and process-based features extracted from the digital Trail Making Test-Part B (dTMT-B).
METHODS: A total of 321 community-dwelling participants (56.0% female) were assessed with the Functional Activities Questionnaire (FAQ) and the dTMT-B. Three FAQ groups were constructed: FAQ = 0 (unimpaired); FAQ = 1-4 (subtle impairment); FAQ = 5-8 (mild impairment).
Results: Compared to the FAQ-unimpaired group, other groups required longer pauses inside target circles (p < 0.050) and produced more total pen strokes to complete the test (p < 0.016). FAQ-subtle participants required more time to complete the entire test (p …

Difteri merupakan penyakit menular yang disebabkan oleh bakteri Corynebacterium diphtheriae. Bila ditemukan satu kasus difteri di suatu wilayah maka dapat ditetapkan sebagai KLB. Provinsi Lampung terus mengalami kenaikan kasus dan suspek difteri sejak 2020 dan turut menyumbang angka kematian akibat difteri pada tahun 2023. Kasus difteri dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor risiko. Telemedicine has become a new paradigm in the world of health since its popular use to assist the Ministry of Health in monitoring self-isolating patients during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study aims to analyze service quality variables related to user satisfaction with telemedicine services during COVID-19 self-isolation among students in FPH UI. This research is quantitative research with a cross-sectional approach. The results show that the platform most widely used for telemedicine services during the COVID-19 pandemic was platform H by 25 people. Beban kasus TB tertinggi tahun 2021 terjadi di Provinsi Jawa Barat, Jawa Timur, Jawa Tengah, Sumatera Utara, dan DKI Jakarta. Kota Depok merupakan salah satu penyumbang beban TB di Jawa Barat. Dari data estimasi beban TB se-Provinsi Jawa Barat, Kota Depok berada di urutan ke-7 dengan estimasi jumlah kasus sebanyak 3853 kasus. Di Indonesia, terdapat sebanyak 9,2 juta jiwa penyakit kelainan fungsi paru. Sopir angkutan umum yang merokok berisiko mengalami kelainan fungsi paru yang diakibatkan oleh rokok. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan berat derajat merokok terhadap gejala kelainan fungsi paru pada sopir angkutan umum di Terminal Kampung Melayu. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei tahun 2023 di Terminal Kampung Melayu dengan desain cross-sectional pada 102 sopir angkutan umum sebagai sampel. Penerimaan vaksinasi COVID-19 tahap III (booster) tiap kabupaten/kota di Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan memperoleh cakupan yang berbeda-beda. Purpose
Team-based care has been linked to key outcomes associated with the Quadruple Aim and a key driver of high-value patient-centered care. Use of the electronic health record (EHR) and machine learning have significant potential to overcome previous barriers to studying the impact of teams, including delays in accessing data to improve teamwork and optimize patient outcomes.
Methods
This study utilized a large EHR dataset (n = 316,542) from an urban health system to explore the relationship between team composition and patient activation, a key driver of patient engagement. Teams were operationalized using consensus definitions of teamwork from the literature. …

Clinical notes of a patient’s visit to a healthcare provider are necessary for patient care, reimbursement, and regulatory compliance with federal and state laws. Over time, non-standardized processes within the EHR have led to the increasing use of copy-paste to complete clinical notes, leading to irrelevant information being captured in the notes. Sinsky et al. (2020) shared that 49% of physicians' time is spent within the EHR, completing their documentation, placing orders, and reviewing the patient's chart.
