Digitalisasi pencatatan pemeriksaan kapal menjadi komponen kunci dalam upaya meningkatkan kecepatan, akurasi, dan efisiensi proses karantina kesehatan di pelabuhan. Saat ini, Balai Besar Karantina Kesehatan (BBKK) Tanjung Priok masih mengandalkan pencatatan manual berbasis kertas, yang sering menimbulkan duplikasi pekerjaan, risiko kehilangan atau kerusakan arsip, serta keterlambatan dalam penyusunan laporan. Hospitals adapt to surges in a variety of ways, including expediting admitting and discharge procedures, hiring temporary staff and locums to meet increased demand, and temporarily expanding or creating facilities. To mitigate negative effects associated with surges, a small community-based hospital’s Internal Medicine (IM) residency program and hospitalist program collaborated by shifting senior residents into admitting physician roles with indirect supervision to meet increased surge needs. This shift allowed an admitting attending physician to shift to a newly created rounding service and, on average, the number of rounding services was increased from seven to nine. In the summer of 2025, the library director began reviewing resources available from the University Libraries Special Collections Portal to learn about early hospital infrastructure in Las Vegas and Southern Nevada. Using the keyword “hospital”, they reviewed 1,000 records to locate primary resources that could help tell the story of Las Vegas’s first hospital and Southern Nevada early history. In total, they located photos, oral histories, city documents, and newspaper articles, to help put together a timeline of which hospitals, current events, and key figures were critical in establishing a medical presence in Las Vegas and Southern Nevada. National data on the academic presidency reflect a long-standing gender gap with little known about the presidency at health professions focused institutions (HPFIs). This mixed methods study explored the relationships between the academic presidency and institutional characteristics of HPFIs, and the leadership journeys of female presidents at HPFIs. An analysis of institutional and leadership data for 487 HPFIs was conducted using a quantitative approach, followed by interviews of 15 female presidents at HPFIs to understand their perceptions of the barriers, and factors that helped with presidency attainment. The World Health Organization (2019) defines burnout as a workplace condition caused by chronic unmanaged stress. Nationally, over half of healthcare professionals report burnout symptoms, with high rates in oncology (Deriglazov et al., 2025). Background: Heart failure (HF) remains a major contributor to 30-day hospital readmissions, placing strain on patients, healthcare systems, and reimbursement structures tied to quality metrics. Inconsistent discharge practices and gaps in transitional care coordination increase the likelihood of preventable rehospitalizations.

Purpose: This project examined whether implementing a standardized, nurse-driven discharge bundle would improve transitional care outcomes and decrease 30-day readmissions among adults hospitalized with HF.

Occupational hand injuries cause preventable morbidity, lost productivity, and workers’ compensation costs in manufacturing. Although safety policies and personal protective equipment (PPE) are in place, inconsistent glove use, slow hazard identification, and delayed response still cause injuries. This quality improvement (QI) project evaluated an eight-week, nurse-led injury-prevention bundle at a Texas heavy-vehicle manufacturing facility. The intervention required daily glove inspections, Safety Champion participation, real-time electronic hazard reporting, and corrective action within the shift. Injury outcomes were measured using Occupational Safety and Administration (OSHA) rates per 200,000 work hours and percentage change from baseline. Registered Nurse (RN) burnout remains a significant challenge in acute care hospitals, with far-reaching consequences for staff well-being, organizational performance, and patient care outcomes. Characterized by emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and a reduced sense of personal accomplishment, burnout among RNs contributes to decreased job satisfaction, increased turnover, and compromised care quality. Despite extensive research on burnout, few studies have integrated theoretical frameworks such as the Theory of Reasoned Action (TRA) with large-scale, nationally representative data to empirically test how burnout influences organizational engagement and healthcare quality outcomes.
