As the cases of gun violence are continuously increasing in America, so are the number of assumptions that the incident was caused by a mental illness. Whenever there is a mass shooting, the media is quick to diagnose the shooter with a mental illness, without having the credentials to do so. Previous research has found that stories of mass shootings and incidents of gun violence increase negative attitudes towards people with a serious mental illness (SMI), and an increase in support for gun restrictions for this specific population. The Human Immunodeficiency Virus and Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (HIV/AIDS) continues to be an epidemic among gay and bisexual men or men who have sex with men (MSMs). A total of 407,493 children were identified as foster children by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families (2021) at the completion of their 2020 fiscal year. The reason for entry into foster care is just as varied as the way in which the children exit. Behavior analysts are becoming increasingly aware of and involved in the study of issues related to sex, gender, disability, prejudice, and discrimination. This thesis integrates and discusses two collaborative manuscripts that revolve around the shared subject matter of multi-level research on systemic issues. In the first chapter, sexism and gender bias are conceptualized and informed by the framework of the nested sociobehavioral model of racism developed by Belisle et al. (2022), including implicit bias, selective gender norms, and systemic oppression, while integrating feminist and queer theories in the analysis. Exclusion from outdoor recreation reflects legacies of oppression of marginalized communities and makes access to the outdoors not equally available. In the United States, approximately 38% of Black Americans and 48% of Hispanic Americans participated in outdoor recreation in 2020. This is compared to 55% participation among Caucasian Americans. Many other intersecting identities are actively excluded, including people with disabilities, fat populations, and members of the LGBTQIA2S+ community; furthermore, class-based hierarchies are shown through the restricted outdoor access of low-income populations.

Contemporary fundraising practices are also challenging antiquated hegemonic ways of philanthropy and are critically examining the practice from within. Among many things, this entails diversifying the historically White-female dominated fundraising workforce. The Time to Teach about Gender-Based Violence in Canada project asked teacher and student participants how Canadian educators could improve young people’s critical consciousness in relation to gender-based violence. Data collection involved individual interviews with 14 teachers, participatory workshops with three groups of students, and a virtual workshop in which teacher participants validated and expanded upon initial analysis of their interview data and responded to cellphilms produced in the student workshops. Through the lens of the justice for Gorge Floyd protests, my dissertation offers a critique, consultation, creation, and contribution to the visual imagery emerging from the digital activism of social movements. Built upon a foundation of counterpublics, critical race counterstory, counternarratives, the Black public sphere, rhetorical-cultural narrative, rhetorical-cultural memory, visual social semiotics, hashtag activism, and media framing and schemas, I engage in a rhetorical-semiotic-technocultural analysis of the justice for George Floyd protests, as a social movement. การวิจัยเรื่อง “การบัญชีนิติวิทยา : กลไกการป้องกันและปราบปรามอาชญากรรมทางเศรษฐกิจ เพื่อศึกษาถึงการใช้การบัญชีนิติวิทยามาต่อสู้กับอาชญากรรมทางเศรษฐกิจ และเสนอ แนวทางการเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพของการบัญชีนิติวิทยา โดยใช้ระเบียบวิธีวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพด้วยการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกจากผู้ให้ข้อมูลสำคัญ จำนวน 17 ท่าน และสังเคราะห์ข้อมูลเป็นข้อเสนอแนะที่สามารถนำไปปฏิบัติได้ ผลการวิจัยที่สำคัญ พบว่า การบัญชีนิติวิทยา คือ การรวบรวมหลักฐานการก่ออาชญากรรมทางเศรษฐกิจและการทุจริตไปสำแดงในชั้นศาล โดยใช้เทคนิคการสืบสวนทางการเงินและการบัญชี กลไกการป้องกันและปราบปรามอาชญากรรมทางเศรษฐกิจด้วยการใช้การบัญชีนิติวิทยา ประกอบด้วย (1) การป้องกันอาชญากรรม (Prevention) (2) การตรวจจับเฝ้าระวัง (Detection) (3) การสืบสวน (Investigation) เก็บรวบรวมหลักฐานขึ้นสู่ชั้นศาลหรือไกล่เกลี่ย และ (4) การเยียวยาชดใช้ผู้เสียหาย เทคนิคการบัญชีนิติวิทยาแบ่งเป็น 2 กลุ่ม ได้แก่ (1) Collection Forensic คือ การตรวจสอบเอกสารและไฟล์เอกสาร (2) Digital Forensic คือ การสืบหาหลักฐานจากอุปกรณ์และแพลตฟอร์มดิจิทัลต่างๆ ปัญหาและอุปสรรคของการใช้บัญชีนิติวิทยาในการป้องกันและปราบปรามอาชญากรรมทางเศรษฐกิจที่สำคัญ เช่น ประเทศไทยยังไม่มีการกำหนดมาตรฐานการบัญชีนิติวิทยาและจรรยาบรรณของนักบัญชีนิติวิทยา จึงควรจัดตั้ง “สมาคมนักบัญชีนิติวิทยาแห่งประเทศไทย” หรือกำหนดให้เป็นสาขาวิชาชีพแขนงหนึ่งใน “สภาวิชาชีพบัญชี” นักบัญชีนิติวิทยาภาคเอกชนถูกจำกัดการเข้าถึงฐานข้อมูลทางการเงิน ขณะที่หน่วยงานภาครัฐสามารถเข้าถึงฐานข้อมูลได้เต็มที่ จึงอาจจำเป็นต้องมีกฎหมายพิเศษ เช่น “ประมวลกฎหมายวิธีพิจารณาคดีอาชญากรรมทางเศรษฐกิจ” และการจัดตั้งองค์กรกลางที่เป็น “Single of Command” เช่น “กระทรวงความมั่นคงภายใน” หรือ “คณะกรรมการป้องกันและปราบปรามอาชญากรรมทางเศรษฐกิจ (ปป.อศ.)” หรือเพิ่มบทบาทหน้าที่ของ “คณะกรรมการป้องกันและปราบปรามการทุจริตแห่งชาติ (ป.ป.ช.)” นอกจากนี้ยังพบว่า ปัญหาด้านความรู้ความสามารถเกิดจาก “ระบบอุปถัมภ์” ผู้ตรวจสอบภาครัฐมักขาดทักษะด้านการบัญชีนิติวิทยาซึ่งเป็นพหุวิทยาการ (Multidisciplinary) เพื่อแก้ไขปัญหาเหล่านี้ การพัฒนาหลักสูตรการบัญชีนิติวิทยาจึงจำเป็นอย่างยิ่ง โดยอาศัยความร่วมมือแบบสหวิทยาการ (Interdisciplinary) และการฝึกอบรมร่วมกับสภาวิชาชีพบัญชี

การศึกษาวิจัยเรื่อง ปัญหาและอุปสรรคในการสืบสวนสอบสวนคดีความผิดเกี่ยวกับการแสวงหาผลประโยชน์ทางเพศจากเด็กและเยาวชนออนไลน์ มีวัตถุประสงค์ 1) เพื่อศึกษาถึงปัญหาและอุปสรรคในการสืบสวนสอบสวนคดีความผิดเกี่ยวกับการแสวงหาผลประโยชน์ทางเพศจากเด็กและเยาวชนออนไลน์ 2) เพื่อเสนอแนะแนวทางการแก้ไขปัญหาและอุปสรรค การสืบสวนสอบสวนคดีความผิดเกี่ยวกับการแสวงหาผลประโยชน์ทางเพศจากเด็กและเยาวชนออนไลน์ เป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ (Qualitative Research) ที่มุ่งเน้นศึกษาผู้ที่มีหน้าที่ในการสืบสวน สอบสวน นักกฎหมาย ในคดีที่ผู้เสียหายเป็นเด็กในคดีออนไลน์ ผลการศึกษา พบว่า จากแบบสัมภาษณ์ทั้งหมด 9 คน โดยมีบทบาทหน้าที่ดังนี้ เจ้าหน้าที่ตำรวจ TICAC จำนวน 5 คน นักจิตวิทยา จำนวน 1 คน พนักงานอัยการ จำนวน 1 คน NGO จำนวน 1 คน และนักสังคมสงเคราะห์ จำนวน 1 คน ปัญหาและอุปสรรค ข้อมูลที่เด็กไม่เต็มใจให้ข้อมูลกับเจ้าหน้าที่เนื่องจากว่าเด็กเป็นผู้เสียหาย เด็กอาย และไม่ต้องการให้เจ้าหน้าที่ทราบหรือให้บุคคลอื่นทราบ ก็จะปกปิดเป็นความลับ และเกี่ยวกับเรื่องของพ่อแม่ผู้ปกครองผู้เสียหายที่ไม่เข้าใจบทบาทของเจ้าหน้าที่ว่าเข้าไปช่วยเหลือ ไม่ได้เปิดเผยข้อมูลแต่ต้องการหาพยานหลักฐานเพื่อจับคนร้ายมาดำเนินคดีตามกฎหมายให้ได้ เพราะไม่งั้นก็จะไปหลอกคนอื่นต่อ และที่เจอเป็นฝั่งของผู้เสียหาย เกี่ยวกับเรื่องของสภาพแวดล้อม และชุมชนของบ้านผู้เสียหาย ซึ่งปัญหาส่วนใหญ่ที่เกิดมาจากปัญหาครอบครัวที่บ้าน ปัญหาภายในครอบครัว และเป็นเรื่องของการเยาว์วัยของฝั่งผู้เสียหายคือสติปัญญาของเด็กยังไม่ก้าวทันภัยในส่วนของคนร้าย และปัญหาของการสืบสวนคือคนร้ายปิดบังอำพรางตัวตน บางทีสามารถขอข้อมูลจากทาง Facebook, Twitter ผู้ให้บริการในประเทศอย่างการขอ IP Address การขอหมายเลขโทรศัพท์มันต้องใช้เวลายุ่งยาก มันทำให้เป็นอุปสรรคในการสืบสวน ข้อเสนอแนะ เน้นในเรื่องของกระบวนการสืบสวนสอบสวนให้ละเอียดรอบคอบอย่างเดียว จะทำให้การประสานงานระหว่างหน่วยงานจะง่ายขึ้น แล้วก็รวดเร็วขึ้น และทุกอย่างให้มองเห็นประโยชน์ของเด็กเป็นสำคัญมากกว่าผลประโยชน์ของหน่วยงานตัวเอง และปัญหาเกี่ยวกับเรื่องของการตรวจ เพราะมาพร้อมกับเทคโนโลยีสมัยใหม่ ปัญหาที่เจอคือเรื่องการตรวจพยานหลักฐานทาง Computer เพราะส่วนใหญ่ผู้ต้องหามีการปิดล็อกพาสเวิร์ดทาง Computer และมือถือทำให้ยากขึ้นตามเทคโนโลยีสมัยใหม่ เจ้าหน้าที่มีความรู้ความเข้าใจอย่างเพียงพอหรือยังที่ต้องเก็บพยานหลักฐานคือให้เจ้าหน้าที่ผู้รับแจ้งมีความรู้มีสกิลในการแนะนำเบื้องต้น ไม่ว่าจะเป็นการเก็บพยานหลักฐาน และกระบวนการยุติธรรมที่เป็นมิตรสำหรับเด็ก ซึ่งมันขยายได้ว่าปัจจุบันมันยังไม่เป็นมิตรสำหรับเด็ก คือกระบวนการสืบสวนสอบสวนมันเหมือนการกระทำซ้ำกับเด็กด้วย พนักงานสืบสวนเองในหลายๆ พื้นที่โดยเฉพาะพื้นที่ห่างไกล พื้นที่ที่ยังไม่ค่อยใช้สื่อ Online ตำรวจก็มีข้อจำกัดในการใช้เครื่องมือในการสืบสวน หรือบางแอพตำรวจยังไม่รู้จักเลย บางทีก็มีการใช้ถ้อยคำที่ทำร้ายจิตใจไม่เหมาะสม และการเก็บพยานหลักฐาน และขอเพิ่มเติมข้อเสนอแนะในด้านของกระบวนการยุติธรรมที่เป็นมิตรสำหรับเด็กสำคัญมากในเรื่องความเป็นส่วนตัวแล้ววิธีการในการพูดคุยกับผู้เสียหาย ให้มีการเพิ่มจำนวนพนักงานสอบสวนหญิง แล้วก็พนักงานอัยการผู้หญิง ปัญหาการค้ามนุษย์ ปัญหาปัจจุบันก็ที่เค้าเน้นหนักคือพวกบัญชีม้า เพราะทำให้ไม่สามารถพิสูจน์ทราบได้ว่าใครเป็นคนกระทำความผิดจริง และข้อเสนอแนะไว้เรื่องเกี่ยวกับการเรื่องทางเพศ ซึ่งเกี่ยวข้องกับการปฏิบัติงานในการปราบปรามอาชญากรรมทางเพศ

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มุ่งสะท้อนให้เห็นพัฒนาการด้านสุขภาพและการเข้าถึงของระบบราชทัณฑ์ไทยในการดูแลแบบประคับประคอง ภายใต้เงื่อนไขต่างๆ ตามกรอบข้อบังคับระดับสากลและข้อกฎหมายระดับประเทศ ทั้งนี้ ยังมุ่งศึกษาแนวทางการให้บริการด้านสุขภาพในมิติของการดูแลในระยะท้าย ความต้องการของผู้ต้องขังสูงวัยในเรือนจำ และรูปแบบการจัดการกับการตายในเรือนจำ ผ่านกลไกของราชทัณฑ์ไทยที่มีทีมสหวิชาชีพต่างๆที่เข้ามาให้บริการกับผู้ต้องขังในระยะท้ายกับผู้ต้องขัง การศึกษาครั้งนี้อาศัยการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ โดยการศึกษาครั้งนี้มีข้อค้นพบประการสำคัญว่า โครงการราชทัณฑ์ปันสุขเพื่อชาติ ศาสน์ กษัตริย์ คือจุดเปลี่ยนสำคัญของบริการสุขภาพในกรมราชทัณฑ์ ผู้ต้องขังสูงวัยในวาระท้ายของชีวิตนั้นได้รับบริการทางการแพทย์ที่มีมาตรฐานสากลเทียบเท่าการรักษาในโรงพยาบาลภายนอก ด้วยทีมสหวิชาชีพที่มีความเชี่ยวชาญ ทั้งยังมีบริการระบบการให้เยี่ยมออนไลน์สำหรับผู้ต้องขังในระยะท้ายในเรือนจำ และความต้องการในวาระสุดท้ายของชีวิตผู้ต้องขังในเรือนจำนั้นคือการได้ “กลับบ้าน” ที่นับเป็นข้อค้นพบสำคัญและเป็นความหวังสุดท้ายก่อนสิ้นลมหายใจ

Of particular note are records of Virginia Jackson Kiah's work founding and managing both the Kiah House Museum in Savannah, Georgia, and the Lillie Carroll Jackson Museum in Baltimore, Maryland. Early termination of a pregnancy (hereinafter referred to as an “abortion”) has been debated in the United States (U.S.) for decades, without much regard to the negative outcomes that forced pregnancies have for those assigned female at birth regarding poverty, mental health and maternal mortality. In 1973, access to safe abortions was protected so long that the procedure was done within the legal gestational period and/or was necessary for the health and safety of the patient (Blackmun, 1972). Family Drug Treatment Court Program Effectiveness As A Protective Factor For Parents In Prevention Of Substance Abuse Foster Care Re-Entries: A Mixed Methods Study, Eugenia Ann Richardson

Foster care re-entry rates are high. Studies show that many foster care entries are due to substance abuse. These parents may enter a Family Drug Treatment Court Program that offers intensive therapy for the parent as well as services for the family. This study looks at the effectiveness of a Missouri County Family Drug Treatment Court Program at preventing foster care re-entry for those who graduate the program. This study uses a mixed methods research design. Caseworkers for the Missouri County Family Drug Treatment Court were interviewed. Abortion Decisions As Humanizing Acts: The Application Of Ambivalent Sexism And Objectification To Women-Centered Anti-Abortion Rhetoric, Rachel L. Dyer, Olivia R. Checkalski, Sarah Gervais

Women-centered anti-abortion rhetoric, grounded in ostensibly positive beliefs that pregnant people are precious objects who must be protected from having abortions, has proliferated anti-abortion activism and legislation. However, abortion stigma, marked by negative perceptions of people who terminate pregnancies, is the most widely used theoretical tool for understanding the social and psychological implications of abortion. In this article, we first integrate these two seemingly contradictory perspectives on abortion through the lens of ambivalent sexism theory. We then argue that ambivalent sexism paves the way for objectifying perceptions and treatment of pregnant people; specifically, our typology of reproductive objectification provides a …

การศึกษาวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษารูปแบบและลักษณะของข้อความที่แสดงถึงความเกลียดชังต่ออีกฝักฝ่ายในประเด็นที่เกี่ยวข้องกับข่าวอาชญากรรมในประเทศไทยบนแพลตฟอร์มเฟซบุ๊ก รวมถึงปัจจัยที่ส่งผลต่อการรับรู้ และการรับรู้ข้อความที่แสดงถึงความเกลียดชังของผู้ใช้งานเฟซบุ๊ก และเพื่อศึกษามาตรการควบคุมการแสดงความคิดเห็นที่เป็นการแพร่กระจายความเกลียดชังบนสื่อสังคมออนไลน์ต่อบุคคลอื่น โดยใช้วิธีการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพด้วยการวิจัยแบบเอกสาร การรวบรวมข้อมูลเอกสารที่เป็นข้อความที่แสดงถึงความเกลียดชังใต้โพสต์ข่าวอาชญากรรมในคดีฆาตกรต่อเนื่อง 6 ศพ คดีอดีตผู้กำกับใช้ถุงคลุมหัวผู้ต้องหายาเสพติด และคดีฆาตกรรมเน็ตไอดอล และการสัมภาษณ์แบบกึ่งโครงสร้างต่อผู้ให้ข้อมูลสำคัญ 15 คน ผลการวิจัยพบว่า รูปแบบข้อความที่แสดงความเกลียดชังต่ออีกฝักฝ่ายที่พบเหมือนกันทั้งสามคดีคือ การแบ่งแยกแบบไม่ตั้งใจต่อกลุ่มเป้าหมาย ลักษณะของข้อความที่พบมักเป็นการบอกกล่าว การชี้นำ และการแสดงความรู้สึก ซึ่งสอดคล้องกับความคิดเห็นของผู้ให้ข้อมูลสำคัญต่อข้อความที่แสดงความเกลียดชังใต้โพสต์ข่าวอาชญากรรม ส่วนปัจจัยที่ส่งผลต่อการรับรู้นั้นพบว่ามีอยู่ 3 ปัจจัย คือ (1) ปัจจัยด้านจิต ได้แก่ แรงจูงใจส่วนตนและวัฒนธรรม (2) ปัจจัยด้านสังคม ได้แก่ การได้รับการยอมรับ การเลียนแบบหรือการคล้อยตามผู้ที่เคารพนับถือ ความต้องการในการปกป้องกลุ่มตน และการอบรมเลี้ยงดู และ (3) ปัจจัยด้านสภาพแวดล้อม ได้แก่ การเข้าถึงง่าย ความเป็นนิรนาม กฎหมายและการขาดผู้ตรวจตรา ขณะที่การรับรู้ข้อความที่แสดงถึงความเกลียดชังล้วนได้รับอิทธิพลมาจากปัจจัยการรับรู้ทั้งสามและการนำเสนอข่าวของสำนักข่าวอันจะเป็นการกำหนดทิศทางให้การตอบสนองมีความแตกต่างหลากหลาย มาตรการควบคุมการแสดงความคิดเห็นที่เป็นการแพร่กระจายความเกลียดชังบนสื่อสังคมออนไลน์ นอกเหนือไปจากกฎหมายและนโยบายแพลตฟอร์มที่มีอยู่ ควรมีการจัดตั้งหน่วยงานภายใต้สังกัดกระทรวงดิจิทัลเพื่อเศรษฐกิจและสังคมเข้ามาช่วยประสานการแก้ปัญหาและดำเนินคดีระหว่างภาครัฐและเจ้าของแพลตฟอร์ม เปิดโอกาสให้ผู้ที่มีความรู้ความชำนาญเกี่ยวกับระบบโครงข่ายคอมพิวเตอร์เข้ามาร่วมติดตามและตรวจสอบ บรรจุวิชาความรู้เท่าทันสื่อเป็นส่วนหนึ่งในกิจกรรมแนะแนว สร้างกลุ่มศิลปินดาราตัวอย่างประชาสัมพันธ์เรื่องสิทธิเสรีภาพ สร้างสื่อเรื่องสั้นที่เข้าถึงคนทุกเพศทุกวัย จัดตั้งพื้นที่สำหรับแลกเปลี่ยนปัญหาการใช้สื่อสังคมออนไลน์ในระดับชุมชน จัดตั้ง Online Community เพื่อแลกเปลี่ยนความเห็นต่างในระดับสังคมแบบไม่เปิดเผยตัวตน

The purpose of the current study was to help amplify and analyze Black American elementary student voice in a post-2020 world. Discussions and writings were conducted at the students’ charter school in spaces where students voiced what it meant to be a Black American youth through both verbal and written means. Adventists have been inconsistent in dealing with inequality and injustice in society, swaying between silence, accommodation, positional statements, and direct advocacy approaches. Although advocacy has become more prominent among Adventist thinkers since the end of the twentieth century, there is a lack of empirical data which answer questions related to contemporary Adventists' beliefs and practices in relation to advocacy in the context of mission. Telebehavioral health offers a unique opportunity to expand access to mental health services for older clients by addressing systemic barriers that often render mental health care inaccessible in later life. Although health interventions facilitated by technology, including telebehavioral health approaches, proliferated at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, little guidance exists for counselors seeking to provide such services to clients in later life. In this manuscript, we describe challenges accessing mental health services, how telebehavioral health services can address these barriers, and practical consideration for delivering telebehavioral health approaches for counselors who work with older clients.

Disability culture is often misunderstood by counselors who lack extensive training in working with individuals with disabilities (IWDs) (Stuntzner & Hartley, 2014). This quantitative study used the Counseling Clients with Disability Survey (CCDS) to explore the beliefs and perceived knowledge of counselors-in-training (CITs), counselors, and counselor educators regarding preparation to counsel IWDs, which is particularly important as disability status can change across the lifespan, and given that the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) Standards Review Committee provided a guide to the draft standards incorporating the infusion of disability concepts.
