วิทยานิพนธ์ มาตรการกำกับควบคุมระบบกล่องสุ่มภายในวิดีโอเกม: กลไกเพื่อความสนุกหรือการพนันแฝง มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาเพื่อศึกษาการทำงานของระบบกล่องสุ่มภายในวิดีโอเกมว่าเป็นกลไกเพื่อความสนุกหรือการพนันแฝง ผลกระทบที่อาจเกิดต่อผู้เล่นและต่อสังคม และเพื่อมาตรการกำกับควบคุมระบบกล่องสุ่มภายในวิดีโอเกมของประเทศไทยและต่างประเทศ เพื่อเสนอแนวทางที่เหมาะสมในการกำกับควบคุมการใช้ระบบกล่องสุ่มภายในวิดีโอเกมสำหรับประเทศไทย โดยศึกษาเชิงคุณภาพด้วยการวิจัยเชิงเอกสารและการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกจากผู้ให้ข้อมูลสำคัญในหน่วยงานภาครัฐ และภาคเอกชน จำนวน 17 คน ผลการศึกษาพบว่า การทำงานของระบบกล่องสุ่มภายในวิดีโอเกม เป็นทั้งระบบที่เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของวิดีโอเกมและระบบที่มีลักษณะและการส่งผลทางจิตเหมือนกับการพนัน เสมือนการพนันแฝงภายในวิดีโอเกม แต่ระบบกล่องสุ่มภายในวิดีโอเกมไม่มีสถานะเป็นการพนันตามพระราชบัญญัติการพนัน พ.ศ. 2478 ระบบกล่องสุ่มภายในวิดีโอเกมส่งผลกระทบทั้งในด้านความไม่เป็นธรรมต่อผู้เล่น ด้านสุขภาพ และด้านเศรฐกิจและสังคม ซึ่งอาจส่งผลให้เกิดปัญหาอาชญากรรมอื่นตามมา ในปัจจุบันประเทศไทยยังไม่มีกฎหมายหรือหน่วยงานใดที่กำกับควบคุมระบบกล่องสุ่มภายในวิดีโอเกมโดยตรง และไม่มีมาตรการของภาคเอกชนไทยในการกำกับควบคุมระบบกล่องสุ่มภายในวิดีโอเกม ในส่วนของมาตรการกำกับควบคุมระบบกล่องสุ่มภายในวิดีโอเกมของต่างประเทศ ในส่วนของภาครัฐมีการใช้มาตรการทางกฎหมายการพนัน กฎหมายคุ้มครองผู้บริโภค และกฎหมายกล่องสุ่มภายในวิดีโอเกมโดยตรง ภาคเอกชนมีการทำข้อตกลงในภาคอุตสาหกรรมเกม มีมาตรการของร้านค้าออนไลน์ และมาตรการจัดเรทวิดีโอเกม แนวทางของมาตรการกำกับควบคุมระบบกล่องสุ่มภายในวิดีโอเกมที่เหมาะสมสำหรับประเทศไทย คือ 1) มีการนิยามการพนันไว้ในกฎหมายอย่างชัดเจน 2) ให้มีกฎหมายเกี่ยวกับระบบกล่องสุ่มภายในวิดีโอเกมโดยตรง 3) ให้มีการจัดเรทวิดีโอเกมโดยพิจารณาจากระบบการเล่น 4) ให้มีมาตรการสำหรับผู้ให้บริการเกมจากต่างประเทศ นอกจากนี้ควรมีการประชาสัมพันธ์ให้ความรู้เพิ่มเติม และส่งเสริมการทำงานของทุกภาคส่วนที่เกี่ยวข้อง

การศึกษาเชิงพรรณนานี้มุ่งศึกษาลักษณะ ปัจจัยที่สัมพันธ์ต่อความขัดแย้ง รูปแบบการจัดการที่มิได้เข้ากระบวนการศาลจากโรงพยาบาลตติยภูมิในกรุงเทพมหานครและปริมณฑลในช่วงแพร่ระบาดของโรคโควิด-19 รวมถึงผลกระทบจากสถานการณ์ ตลอดจนโอกาสพัฒนาแนวคิดยุติธรรมเชิงสมานฉันท์ โดยศึกษาข้อมูลเบื้องต้นจากหน่วยงานบริหารความขัดแย้งผ่านแบบสอบถาม และสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกในผู้ที่เคยได้รับความเสียหายในบริการทางการแพทย์ ผู้บริหารระบบและไกล่เกลี่ยความขัดแย้ง ผลการศึกษาจากการสำรวจจากโรงพยาบาล 19 แห่ง พบว่าการให้ข้อมูลที่ไม่เหมาะสม และปัญหาการสื่อสาร เป็นเหตุสำคัญสูงสุด (ร้อยละ 71.5) ผู้ไกล่เกลี่ยที่เคยอบรมหลักสูตรการเจรจาไกล่เกลี่ย หรือการบริหารความขัดแย้งมีเพียงส่วนน้อย (ร้อยละ 12.2) และไม่มีผู้รู้จักแนวคิดยุติธรรมสมานฉันท์ ผลสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกพบว่าความขัดแย้งนั้นเกี่ยวเนื่องกับผู้ป่วยเชื่อว่าความเสียหายนั้นเกิดจากการบริการ ความบกพร่องของสื่อสารหรือท่าทีของผู้ให้บริการ ส่วนอุปสรรคต่อความสำเร็จการยุติความขัดแย้งที่สำคัญ คือ ผู้บริหารความขัดแย้งขาดอำนาจตัดสินใจ แสดงออกไม่จริงใจและไม่เป็นกลาง ผู้ให้บริการทางการแพทย์ที่ไม่แสดงความเห็นใจ และรูปแบบการเยียวยาที่ไม่ตรงความต้องการกับผู้เสียหาย สอดคล้องกับกรณียุติความขัดแย้งสำเร็จพบว่าคณะผู้เสียหายได้รับเยียวยาเพียงพอ ได้รับการสื่อสารที่เข้าใจและเข้าหาสม่ำเสมอ ดังนั้นผู้บริหารควรร่วมบริหารความขัดแย้ง ให้ความสำคัญกับภาระงานและส่งเสริมพัฒนาทักษะผู้ปฏิบัติ รวมทั้งนำหลักยุติธรรมสมานฉันท์มาประยุกต์ใช้ ที่มุ่งเน้นเยียวยาให้อภัยและนำไปสู่ยุติความขัดแย้งได้

Breakwaters are more than just physical structures that protect against storm surges and in the context of Long Beach, CA, my hometown, they are actualizations of economic, social, environmental, geologic, and policy challenges. Previous studies have found that workplace mistreatment positively relates to depression, a critical mental health disorder. However, it is unknown whether mistreatment affects all individuals’ depressive symptoms equally. Drawing from the hopelessness theory of depression and the stigma literature, we suggest that Blacks suffer from greater depression than Whites when they experience similar levels of workplace mistreatment because Blacks, as members of a racial minority group, are more likely to attribute workplace mistreatment to their race. This, in turn, causes them to make a pessimistic attribution (i.e., attributions that are internal, stable, and global) about themselves that, ultimately, leads to …

For two hundred years Americans have had to fight for the right to vote, yet it is still an ongoing challenge for many communities, the Latinx community in particular. In this study I analyzed what factors determine an individual’s access and participation in the voting process, focusing on the Latinx community in the Canal District of San Rafael, who are impacted by the barriers intended to limit their ability to vote. One specific group of underrepresented youth who face unique struggles is unaccompanied youth. Mentoring, a non-parental relationship between a young person and someone who supports and guides youth, has been found to result in better well-being and health in adolescents and potentially lead to higher self-worth and better academic performance. Race in the US is shaped by a history rooted in settler colonialism, colorism, and nativism. Yet, international students are typically excluded from most conversations about race and racialization. Using Fries-Britt, George Mwangi, and Peralta’s (2014) emergent framework on learning race in US contexts, we examined international students of Color’s racialized experiences at a predominantly White institution, including how their racialized experiences were often shaped simultaneously by issues of race and racism in the US as well as preconceived notions of what their US collegiate experiences would be. However, various publishing biases privilege some research perspectives and worldviews while limiting others. These biases directly impact intellectual diversity, or differences in ontology, axiology, and epistemology. This study aims to quantify intellectual diversity in the field of wildlife conservation and identify how publishing biases affect knowledge available to researchers and decision-makers worldwide.

Cultural stereotypes that link Black race to crime in the U.S. originated in and are perpetuated by policies that result in the disproportionate criminalization and punishment of Black people. The scientific record is replete with evidence that these stereotypes impact perceivers’ perceptions, information processing, and decision-making in ways that produce more negative criminal legal outcomes for Black people than White people. However, relatively scant attention has been paid to understanding how situations that present a risk of being evaluated through the lens of crime-related stereotypes also directly affect Black people. We review the psychological consequences of racialized policing for people of color over the course of their lives, organizing our review within Bronfrenbrenner’s (1979) social-ecological model and emerging science on racial, legal, and racial-legal socialization. First, we consider the broader social climate that criminalizes and punishes people of color, and thereby generates racialized policing (macrosystem). Then, we turn to the institution and practice of policing and how this influences the way people of color come to think about their relationships with police (exosystem). In Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, the Supreme Court overruled Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood of Southeastern Pennsylvania v. Casey. These two cases held that the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment encompassed a right of women to terminate a pregnancy. Roe reflected over 60 years of substantive due process precedent finding and reaffirming a constitutional right of privacy with several animating themes, including bodily integrity, equality, and dignity. Lesbian, gay, and bisexual individuals (LGBI) have a higher rate of mental health disorders than the general population. The mental health disparities experienced by LGBI are positively correlated with higher internalized homonegativity (IH) levels, which impacts their functioning at the unconscious, cognitive, and interpersonal levels. Thus, effective interventions targeting the mental health of LGBI must consider IH's intrapsychic, cognitive, and interpersonal nature. An integrative psychotherapy approach addressing the mental health and IH of LGBI is needed to address the intrapsychic, cognitive, and interpersonal factors at play.

The United States withheld information pertaining to the health problems associated with nuclear power, allowing uranium to be extracted, processed, and stored in the Southwest of the United States and more specifically the Navajo Nation. With this, many Diné people who had previously worked in the mines or lived within close vicinity to facilities developed various types of illnesses. In this piece, the author uses counterstorytelling as a research method to write a book review of Tanya Katerí Hernández’s recently published book, Racial Innocence: Unmasking Latino Anti-Black Bias and the Struggle for Equality. Specifically, in this counterstory, the author created two composite characters, Alberto and his mother, Lola, made up of arguments from the book to engage in a real and critical dialogue about the anti-Blackness amongst Latinos in the United States. U.S. Veterans are less likely to seek help than their civilian counterparts despite having higher levels of self-reported distress, in part due to comparatively poorer attitudes towards seeking mental health treatment. While some aspects of cultural socialization (e.g., gender role expectations, certain types of stigma) have been established to influence Veterans’ attitudes towards mental health treatment, other aspects of health care access (e.g., trust in health care institutions or individual providers) may benefit from increased focus. In the 18^th and 19^th centuries, the enclosure of common systems shaped the displacement of people on a global scale whilst bringing the people---Scottish Highland crofters and Mi’kmaq First Nation Canadians from the margins where they have dwelled for centuries in historical scholarship to of the centre of not just their history, but our collective history. Both populations experienced attacks on their ties to their lands, resources, and culture through enclosure. The enclosure process lasted over two centuries and was interspersed with violent protest, proactive resistance, interspersed with periods of acceptance and determination against their forced removals. Assessing 4-H And Its Circle Of Courage In A Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility: A Case Study, Elizabeth Steering

This 4-H case study takes place in a psychiatric residential treatment facility (PRTF) in Kentucky. The PRTF provides clinical services to youth that are not able to be safely maintained in their homes due to having demonstrated unsafe or harmful behaviors. Youth admitted to the PRTF stay for an average of three to six months while they receive intensive therapeutic and psychiatric care as well as medical treatment and public schooling.
