Organizational Climate And Commitment: A Case Study Of An Urban Nonprofit Organization, William Sawyer Grant
Organizational Climate And Commitment: A Case Study Of An Urban Nonprofit Organization, William Sawyer Grant
Theses and Dissertations in Urban Services - Urban Management
This qualitative study investigates the relationship between the two constructs: Organizational Climate and Organizational Commitment.
Litwin and Stringer (1968) suggested that a molar model is needed to explain employee behavior and motivation. Climate was proposed as this molar construct. Research concerning Organizational Climate resulted in multiple definitions and little consensus concerning the number and use of multiple dimensions of this construct. The almost exclusive use of survey methods coupled with methodological confusion with Organizational Culture created difficulty with the use of this important construct.
Organizational Commitment research resulted in a number of competing definitions. Research by Meyer and Allen (1997) …

Impact Of Transformational Leadership On Follower Development And Performance: A Field Experiment, Taly Dvir, Dov Eden, Bruce Avolio, Boas Shamir
Department of Management: Faculty Publications
In a longitudinal, randomized field experiment, we tested the impact of transformational leadership, enhanced hy training, on follower development and performance. Experimental group leaders received transformational leadership training, and control group leaders, eclectic leadership training. The sample included 54 military leaders, their 90 direct followers, and 724 indirect followers. Results indicated the leaders in the experimental group had a more positive impact on direct followers' development and on indirect followers' performance than did the leaders in the control group.

Or will airlines consolidate with one another to form mega-carriers? In this paper, the likelihood of various airline consolidation and alliance development possibilities was examined based on a number of high-level trends and forces. The most probable near-term industry alliance and consolidation structure is described, accompanied with a probable path of evolution. These predictions have important implications for managers of strategic alliances, carriers who are currently in an alliance as well as …

Sales taxes have been a much-depended on source of revenue for local governments since the early part of the 1900’s. Southern Nevada local governments rely relatively heavily on sales and use taxes for a source of income. In 1998, the United States Congress passed an Act that imposed a moratorium on Internet sales tax collection until October 2001. With the explosive growth in Internet sales, the issue of the failed collection of an Internet sales tax has come to the forefront of local government finance discussions.

At Issue have been the effects of the adjudication on military personnel aware of the adjudication.
