Operating from 1897 to 1917, sixteen blocks from the French Quarter district of New Orleans, Louisiana, several buildings were created to establish a legal red light district known as “Storyville.” The area was named after its creator, Alderman Sidney Story, who enacted the applicable ordinances and helped to establish the district. The creation of Storyville was meant to bring regulation to the sex trade and organized crime. The creation of the sixteen blocks of the district was influenced by a diverse range of experiences, ranging from cheap "cribs," vibrant music halls, saloons, and lavish mansions filled with "top dollar" ladies. …

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the digital collection of the National Gallery of Art’s library with a focus on the diversity of topics, artists, and themes. This study could be a resource to librarians responsible for digital collections and art librarians that want to ensure that their digital collections are seen as diverse. This study conducted a collection analysis of five LGBTQ+ grassroots archives located in North America to exhibit how marginalized communities build and preserve their history on their own. By assessing the different collections for certain metrics and demographics such as the number of materials representing different aspects of the LGBTQ+ community, as well as the types of materials prioritized from t-shirts to posters and books, this study highlights the role these community archives play in the representation of marginalized histories. The de Grummond holdings of Tana Hoban’s work contain items she donated from 1982 to 1991 as well as copies of her books received from other donors. These materials include correspondence; biographical materials; her diaries; and some of her work as a commercial photographer, including photos and advertisements. There are also promotional items for her books and items related to a 1973 educational filmstrip series for which Hoban served on the creative development team (Brown, 2021; (“Tana Hoban Papers,” n.d.). This study determined relationship between students’ computer hardware skills in the use of electronic information resources in University libraries in South-West, Nigeria. This study adopted correlation research design involving simple and multiple linear methods. The population of this study is 85,526. The sample for the study was 398. Proportionate sampling techniques were used to draw the sample. The findings revealed that there is a moderate positive and significant relationship between the students’ computer hardware skills and their use of EIR in university libraries. Survey research methodology was used with a total sample size of 202 library personnel in University of Abuja library using simple random sampling techniques. This study investigated user perceptions and challenges associated with accessing and utilizing electronic resources at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), including their implications for remote users. Using a quantitative research approach and survey methodology, the study involved 1,680 participants: 1,513 students, 140 academic staff, and 27 academic librarians. Employing a combination of probability (stratified random and systematic) and nonprobability (purposive) sampling ensured comprehensive representation. Participants completed self-administered closed-ended questionnaires distributed through online platforms, primarily Google Forms. The study adopted descriptive study to examine law libraries and sustainability of judicial precedent in Nigerian legal system. The population involved legal educators, law librarians and practitioners in four States in different geopolitical zones of Nigeria, namely Rivers State, Lagos State, Benue State, and Anambra State. Due to the large population, the study employed multi-stage of balloting and random sampling techniques to sample 100 respondents each from the selected states.
