Libraries have guidelines and standards that hold them accountable to be effective institutions (Husid, 2010). The American Library Association’s (ALA) “Library Bill of Rights” sets six basic standards for all libraries to follow. Among other things, these standards encourage libraries to resist forms of censorship, grant access to all types of materials, and resist biases (ALA, 2007). However, as libraries have evolved, so have many of these guidelines and standards with respect to technology specifically. Cultural attacks, especially attacks on books, have been common place during conflict throughout history (Stubbings, 1993). Libraries in particular have been targeted since books and libraries are symbols of cultures (Valencia, 2002). Nazi Germany was not an exception to attacks on culture before and during World War II (Figure 1). In young adult media there are different roles that parents of the main characters symbolize. The role of parental figures can vary in their original conception and throughout media forms. The journal was still on the demonstration site when I started. Patient Access To Electronic Health Records: Strengths, Weaknesses And What’S Needed To Move Forward, Alicia V. Zuniga

Electronic health records (EHRs) are desired by both physicians and patients, but the transition to and acceptance of sensitive health information online has been slow. This paper reviews the current literature on EHR adoption and outlines barriers, advantages and explicit steps for moving toward the EHR ubiquity. Potential benefits of EHRs to patients and physicians include reduced costs for patients, hospitals and insurance providers, patient empowerment, less errors in records and better health outcomes, but security and privacy concerns, cost of implementation and poor electronic records management system design have proved barriers to adoption.

Below are examples of feedback a consultant might give when reviewing a data management plan. These examples may be used and altered as necessary to fit a variety of situations. Library Faculty Presentations

Many academic libraries have found opportunities to showcase unique content through conference-hosting services, such as website-hosting and conference proceeding publishing. This poster describes two libraries’ successful efforts to archive conference materials from an undergraduate research conference and a professional conference for scholars.

Through the lens of these two case studies, the repository coordinators will discuss engaging with presenters on topics of author rights, ethical use of others’ work in their presentations, creating a sustainable infrastructure for continued growth of the conference, and collaborating with faculty.
