Abstract

The study was conducted to investigate the awareness and use of information resources for research by final year students of Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo. Four research questions and three hypotheses guided the study. 100 copies of questionnaire were administered to the respondents in the college library through face to face method in order to collect data. Simple random and stratified sampling techniques were employed for the study due to the largeness of the population. In the data analysis, frequency counts, simple percentages, mean, standard deviation and Pearson Product Moment Correlation were used for the statistical analysis. The findings …

This research presents about human resources at Special school of A Pembina Tingkat Nasional Lebak Bulus Jakarta. The purposes of this research are to describe the teacher-librarian motivation at the works and any factor affecting. A case study method is used in this qualitative research. The result shows that the motivation of teacher-librarian works based on his/her desire to make a better library. In addition, the factor which influence the motivation of teacher library based on achievements, acknowledgment, responsibility and their status.

This study discusses the use of school libraries and the use of library clubs (books club) which is represented in the animated series "Daitoshokan no Hitsujikai” (A Good Librarian Like A Good Shepherd). This research is a qualitative research with framing analysis approach. The result shows that this animation serial represented school library purpose and utilization, especially in books club activities as one part of school library. The function and utilization of school libraries is represented through framing analysis tools. Framing analysis tools more focus on the metaphorical analysis contained in this animated series. This study discusses the user attitudes in handling library materials. The study was conducted at the library of University of Indonesia. This research uses qualitative approach with case study. The data was collected by conducting observation, interview, and document analysis. The finding shows there are some of book mutilation and vandalism activities caused by users. This study suggests that the library needs to conduct a user preservation education program to prevent vandalism.

This study aims to describe reading habits of elementary school student at Sekolah Dasar Negeri Anyelir 1 Depok Baru, Jawa Barat. This is a quantitative research with case study method. The data collected by distributing questionnaire towards 8 years old of 152 students at the particular school (total sampling population). The result shows that reading habit level of participants are categorized low. Less than 55% participants claimed they spent their leisure time for reading. The method used is qualitative descriptive to determine the role of libraries and quantitative descriptive to know the perception of library staff. The results show the role of libraries in the implementation of the BSC lies in the perspective of internal processes in the strategy map parent institution. Indigenous knowledge points to the fact that Africa has been able to generate, test and apply knowledge through its own methodologies and approaches. This knowledge sustained communities for years prior to colonialism which somehow downplayed the value of indigenous knowledge and promoted western knowledge systems. Colonialism created dependence on western knowledge systems and Africa has over the years neglected its own rich indigenous knowledge. This presentation will consider how almost 10,000 pictures from the Chicano/Mexicano farming communities of the Upper Rio Grande Valley of Southern Colorado and Northern New Mexico can contribute and alter the narrative of farm working. This digital collection documents over 30 years of farming with acequias, or communal irrigation canals, and captures themes of food production, the care of the land and environment, and water management. This study examined the challenges of information literacy skills capacity building for the lawmakers in the South West Nigeria. Survey method was adopted for this using questionnaire as instrument for data collection. 177 legislators participated from the six states of assembly in South-West Nigeria through total enumeration to determine the number of lawmakers in the study.
