Abstract

This study aims to identify, analyze and explain the factors influencing Intrapreneurship of public libraries. It is applied in terms of the purpose, and quantitative in terms of the method used. Confirmatory factor analysis and exploratory factor analysis techniques were also used in this study. The statistical population consisted of all employees working in Iranian public libraries; and data collection tool was a questionnaire. Based on the results of factor analysis, three factors with high eigenvalues were extracted and then named "Encouraging and rewarding system", "Education and research system" and "Organizational structure". Though self-censorship has always been an issue in the library science profession, the practice seems to be growing now because books for youth and young adults are becoming more mature. The Singapore Management University (SMU) Libraries’ have used the LEAN and Six Sigma methodologies in recent years to plan and push for continuous process improvement in their operations. In one assessment project, the Gemba-Kaizen principle from LEAN was adapted and applied to an initiative centered on assessing the library’s Lifestyle print collection. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between perceived richness of information resources at academic library and the attitude to use them by students' of Islamic Azad University of Ahvaz; and conducted by an analytical survey method. Using stratified random sampling 380 students were selected and data were collected using researcher made questionnaire. Results showed that the students have no tendency (mean=3.2281) to use the information resources of library.
