[Purpose/significance] The development of new quality productive forces is a crucial strategic goal for national progress, with local policies serving as important conduits for conveying and implementing national strategies. Researching local policies that promote the development of new quality productive forces is significant for the implementation of the national strategy in different regions and for further policy evaluation.

[Method/process] By constructing a theme-tool-effectiveness analysis framework and employing LDA topic model, policy tools, and PMC index model, this study conducts a multidimensional quantitative evaluation of local policy texts related to the development of new quality productive forces.

This study, conducted through the Global Center on Human Trafficking, explores the underexamined role of public and academic libraries in addressing human trafficking across the state of New Jersey. Despite limited formal guidance on their role in anti-trafficking efforts, libraries are increasingly acting as informal hubs for access to resources, education, and social service referrals. Through a statewide survey and qualitative responses from library professionals, this research examines how libraries are currently engaging in training, social work partnerships, programming, and public awareness initiatives. Research On Users' Privacy Preferences For Digital Medical Health Information From The Perspective Of Sensitivity:Based On A Discrete Choice Experiment, Hongcan Zhu, Jili Chen, Kaidi Zheng, Xianchao Liu

[Purpose/significance] This study investigates differences in digital medical-health information privacy preferences by measuring privacy sensitivity across diverse user groups in multiple contextual scenarios, analyzing variations both within user groups (across contexts) and between user groups (within the same context), thereby providing actionable insights for developing context-aware health information protection frameworks in digital healthcare services.

[Method/process] A model of users' sensitivity to digital medical health information was constructed based on contextual integrity theory, and an experimental study was conducted using a discrete choice experiment method. The model was verified and analyzed using a binary logistic regression model.

This project evaluated the current state of digital preservation practices among PRRLA (Pacific Rim Research Libraries Alliance) member libraries. This report outlined the best practices and guidelines of the member libraries. The study involved a literature review to examine existing research and practices in digital preservation. A survey was designed to collect detailed information from PRRLA members, complemented by online interviews with selected institutions to gain deeper insights. The report has the key findings, successful strategies with some suggestions for sustainable development of digital preservation.

As hybrid and remote work continues, special libraries are continually evolving to meet the needs of their communities. This includes remote and hybrid researchers at the University of North Dakota’s Energy & Environmental Research Center (EERC). While the EERC is physically located in eastern North Dakota, EERC employees are scattered throughout Mountain Plains Library Association states. Using embedded librarianship principles, the EERC’s Library & Information Services team fulfills complex and time-sensitive information needs by providing creative solutions and building partnerships with researchers.

Original Sabbatical Proposal: As part of my dissertation on removing accessibility barriers to library services and resources, I will evaluate materials our library creates, purchases, and shares, focusing on WCAG 2.1 AA compliance.  I will earn a Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) certification and create a guide for academic librarians on developing accessible learning materials and evaluating purchased content to ensure equitable access for all students.

Many leaders are inclined to sacrifice their own time, focus, and emotional well-being for the benefit of their colleagues and institutions, particularly in times of social, financial, and political uncertainty. This poster presents the preliminary results of a nationwide survey on self-sacrifice among academic library leaders. The goal of this research is to quantify the phenomenon of self-sacrifice to better understand how this behavior manifests and address the potential harms that it can cause.  Based on literature and survey data, the researchers present their initial recommendations for mitigating self-sacrificial behavior as a way to encourage retention within academic library leadership …
