Semiotics is the study of signs, symbols, and communication in people’s lives. This study which analyzes the letter nun in the Arabic Alphabet using Ferdinand de Saussure’s theory of semiotics, “dyadic semiotics” aims to reveal the breadth and depth of the meaning of the letter nun at the beginning of Surah al-Qalam. This study uses a descriptive method with a content analysis study approach, comprising data collection, data processing, and interpretation. The source of data are the Arabic script. United Colors of Benetton, or UCB, has been using its advertisements to deliver positive messages and values that the clothing company represents. This article analyzes one of the photographs in Benetton’s campaign for their Spring Summer Collection of 2018. The campaign, which consists of some photographs by Oliviero Toscani, raises the theme of equality of gender and ethnicity. It shows various photographs of both female and male models from different ethnicities. There are many methods to carry out a library book shift but those methods allow for varying degrees of predictability. The Bookshift.py script, when used in conjunction with accurate measurements of a library’s collection and shelving, provides library staff with predictability, flexibility, and the ability to shift in parallel. For every shelf, the script outputs a phrase such as the following, “The last book from this shelf goes 12.3 in/cm into shelf 776.” While complicated shifts can still create surprises, using Bookshift.py or similar methods typically make those surprises easy to correct.

Design/Methodology/approach: The descriptive research design was used to conduct and accomplish the study's objectives. The research population consisted of faculty members at public sector medical colleges in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa southern region. Professors, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors, Lecturers, and demonstrators comprise the faculty. This study examined the performance of selected IFLA journals for 22 years between 2001 to 2021. The methodology used in this study includes Annual Growth Rate (AGR), Relative Growth Rate (RGR), and Doubling Time (Dt), as well as countries and institutions. With the highest productivity and distribution of publications per year, used to evaluate research productivity. To obtain the information required for this study, the Scopus database was consulted. What Primary Sources Teach provides practical and transferable lesson plans focused on skill-based instruction, including step-by-step instructions; ideas for differentiation; corresponding teaching tools, such as worksheets and activity templates; and suggestions for assessment. This study seeks to assess the user frequency and impact of ICT on the performance of the User Services Division, with specific insight on the Circulation, Reference and Instruction Units of the Forde Library. The impact of ICT was measured using cluster-based sampling given to 340 undergraduate students, with a return rate of 62% - 211 students. The analysis revealed a significant lack of awareness and usage of the ICT offerings. Exceptions to low usage and awareness were the OPAC and the Library’s Website. Abstract

The study investigated the use of social media networking sites and academic performance of Library and Information Science (LIS) undergraduates in federal universities in Southern Nigeria. In carrying out this study, three research questions and one null hypotheses were tested at P < 0.05. Descriptive survey design was utilized for the study. The population for the study is 1,440 undergraduates in the Department of Library and Information Science in federal universities in Southern Nigeria. The total enumeration and accidental sampling techniques were used for this study. The instruments used for this study were a questionnaire with the title “Usage of Social Networking Sites and Academic Performance Questionnaire (USNSAPQ)” and the Cumulative Grade Point Average Scores of the undergraduates for 2015/2016 academic session. The data obtained were analysed, using frequency, mean, standard deviation and Pearson Product Moment Correlation statistic. Findings revealed that the academic performance of undergraduates in LIS was in good standing. The reasons for undergraduates’ usage of social networking sites were to communicate and interact with friends, to send and receive messages from friends, to read news update, to be informed about social events and for leisure/entertainment. Undergraduates never made use of social networking sites for academic purposes. It was further revealed that there was no significant relationship between usage of social networking sites and academic performance of undergraduates. The study recommended among others that orientation, workshop and seminar should be organized by librarians and university authorities on the use of social media sites for academic purpose. Undergraduates’ attendance at such orientations, workshop and seminars should be made compulsory.
