Religious publishing is not strange to the knowledge production community of the human race. However, Islamic publishing has been problematic either in Nigeria or elsewhere in the globe. Literature has shown a slow response to scholarly publishing from the Muslim world generally. This study seeks to evaluate the performance of religious publishing between 2011 and 2018 in Nigeria and the quantum of contributions of Islam to this productivity. The present study aims to investigate a mapping of 211 research articles published in the Malaysian Journal of Library and Information Science (MJLIS) between 2011 and 2020. The scientometric analysis emphasizes Issue-wise & Volume-wise distribution of articles, authorship pattern, and most prolific author, length of articles, reference distribution, and geographical distribution. Out of 210 articles, the majority of 174 (82.86%) articles were multiple authorship publications and 36 (17.14%) were single-author publications. This study examines the influence of records management practices, work environment and administrative effectiveness in Lagos State Judiciary, Nigeria. The study adopted a survey research design. The population of the study consisted of 328 administrative staff of Lagos State Judiciary, Nigeria. Total enumeration was used. Cronbach’s Alpha reliability coefficients for the constructs ranged from 0.93 to 0.94. A response rate of 100% was achieved. This poster aims to examine how we can encourage faculty to deposit their scholarly works into our institutional repository (IR). After devoting considerable energy on the development, implementation, and populating of content, the time had come to refocus our efforts to address the lack of faculty participation. Our research compelled us to rethink how we engage with faculty to identify barriersthat may limit their participation and awareness of the IR. In this study we conducted semi-structured interviews with faculty to explore how to best address the issues that define their engagement, and use of the institutional repository.

This lightning talk will provide an overview of two projects faculty librarians undertook in response to the emerging information literacy needs of various stakeholders at Rowan University. The two projects include: a Covid-19 and misinformation online guide and a Covid-19 online research-focused guide for healthcare practitioners.

While these projects were created for different University populations with distinct informational needs (teachers, students, the general public, medical practitioners/researchers), a common theme across these projects was librarians quickly filling information gaps in response to the global Covid-19 pandemic.

Librarians and archivists preserve information on the Internet through web archiving, but undergraduate students may not have considered that information on the Internet is not always permanent. The asynchronous program, Citizen Web Archiving: Preserving Websites for the Common Good, taught students what web archiving is, why it’s important, the ethics of collecting information on the Internet, and how they could contribute to the historical record by archiving websites they deemed important via the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine. The results suggest further opportunities for involving undergraduate students with web archiving initiatives at institutions, and using web archiving as a pedagogical tool.

This increased use of digital technologies is often associated with digital fatigue. The purpose of this study was, therefore, to establish the level awareness about digital fatigue, symptoms of digital fatigue displayed by academic librarians and how they managed the fatigue as they offered services to patrons.
