Applying the lens of constructivism and inquiry-based learning, this study investigated why libraries remain underdeveloped in Nigerian schools, and the way forward. The study was motivated by the importance accorded to school libraries, being one of the most important educational services that could be used to achieve good standard education in Nigeria. This paper presents a bibliometric analysis of the Issues in Science and Technology Librarianship (ISTL) journal for the period of 10 years (2010-2020). Total no. of 224 articles of 35 issues of "ISTL Journal" have been taken up for data analysis. The aim of this paper is to analysis the forms of articles, distribution of the articles, authorship pattern, geographical distribution, institutional contribution and ranking of leading authors. It is found from the analysis that single author contribution during the whole duration persist at 50% obsess highest position compared to benefaction of two author articles which continued to be 30%. …

An online survey in Florida and New York of community college librarians with responsibility for information literacy instruction provides a snapshot of instructional objectives and practices, including librarians’ beliefs about students’ information literacy needs, strengths, and weaknesses. Survey results point to the influence of the Association of College and Research Libraries Framework in the community college context, the challenges librarians face as they work to implement it, and their successes in doing so. These data reveal opportunities to support and improve instruction and to prepare future librarians to work successfully in community college contexts.

Academic librarians have long been responsible for teaching information literacy competencies on college campuses, even as many are hesitant to accept the title of teacher. With inadequate instructional design preparation and one-shot sessions serving as a popular, if limited, instructional medium, librarians’ design processes are often developed on the job and infrequently explored in the literature. Previous research has examined specific design models and instructional strategies, but no studies were found that determined how academic librarians select and implement these design decisions within the unique context of a one-shot.

The application of bibliometrics laws in scientometric journal research output during the period of 10 years from 2010-2019. Data downloaded from web of science databased. A total of 3196 research papers published in the scientometric journal during the study period. The study analysed and examined the different scientometric parameters i.e. year-wise distribution, annual growth rate, exponential growth rate, relative growth rate, doubling time, time series analysis, correlation between articles and authors, reference pattern of articles and the study also verified the applicability of Lotka's law, Price's square root law and Pareto principle on scientometric journal publications.

Writing programs and academic libraries are frequent collaborators based on shared concerns about writing and research. However, in these collaborative relationships librarians often share their expertise with writing program administrators and individual instructors without developing the information literacy expertise of the majority of writing program instructors. This chapter addresses the shortcomings of current self-efficacy models describing the health information practices of LGBTQIA+ communities. Informed by semi-structured interviews with 30 LGBTQIA+ community leaders from South Carolina, findings demonstrate how their self-efficacy operates beyond HIV/AIDS research while complicating traditional models that isolate an individual’s health information practices from their abundant communal experiences. Findings also suggest that participants engage with health information and resources in ways deemed unhealthy or harmful by healthcare providers. However, such practices are nuanced, and participants carefully navigate them, balancing concerns for community safety and well-being over traditional engagements with healthcare infrastructures. Coronaviruses have been described for more than 50 years. Human coronaviruses started its existence in 1965, when Tyrrell and Bynoe (1966) found that a virus called B814 could transfer. It was found in human embryonic tracheal organ cultures from an adult with a common cold respiratory tract.
