Data visualizations help librarians see through the clutter of collection analysis metrics, and can be very useful for outreach to academic partners. Automating the production of data visualizations in Jupyter Notebook from standardized data inputs enables us to produce more reports for more academic departments, which increases our impact.

This study aims to analyse the research output performance on the Nanotechnology subject. A total of 11825 research articles published in Web of Science database were analyzed to find the performance of Nanotechnology related scientists from all over the world in terms of growth during the period 2013-2017 (last five years). Annual growth rate, global publication share, and ranking among ten countries of the world, a prolific author in the field, high productive Institutions, Journals, etc. are studied in this article. This research study aims to find out the research productivity of Nigerian and Indian authors to the library philosophy and practice from 2008 to 2013. The present study also finds the frequency of productivity, author collaboration,paperslength, most cited papers, and most references as well as most productive authors. The present research finds the 226 research articles have been contributed by Nigerian authors and 193 papers have been contributed by Indian authors. At Touro College, there is a growing focus on open educational resources and open scholarship. We, the presenters, were recently hired to continue work started by our predecessors on Open Touro, Touro College’s OER initiative, and TouroScholar, Touro’s open access institutional repository. For both of us, these are our first professional positions after library school, and as we take up these projects, we have begun to think more about the things we wished we had known before we started and what we have learned about open access in our first weeks on the job.

Small But Mighty: How A Team Of Four Administers A Robust Library Publishing Program, Sue Ann Gardner, Paul Royster

University of Nebraska-Lincoln Libraries: Presentations

A team of four people administers the UNL institutional repository (https://digitalcommons.unl.edu), which is one of the largest (109,000-plus full text items) and most-accessed (over 62,000,000 downloads) in the United States. The team also administers a robust library publishing program with over 80 scholarly monographs and 12 peer-reviewed journals. A recent focus of the program has been open educational resources, partnering with scholars to identify or create free online learning objects.

Publication Output Of Journal ‘Clinical Cancer Research’ (2005-2018): A Bibliometric Analysis, M Muthukrishnan

The paper analysis, authorship productivity and collaborative research of research articles available on Clinical Cancer Research for a period of fourteen years from 2005 to 2018. The data were downloaded from the Clarivate Analytics - web of science database. The data included fourteen thousand one hundred fifty six (14156) research articles and sixty eight thousand one hundred seventy (68170) authors. This paper analysis the co-authorship network using CiteSpace Java application with the aim of the understanding of research collaboration in this journal. This paper test the appropriateness of relative growth rate and doubling time.

This paper discussed the state of prison libraries and its services to the prison inmates in Nigeria. It takes a look at the collaboration of Nigerian Prisons Service with National Open University Nigeria (NOUN) and the NGOs. Problems that hinder the development of prison library services in Nigeria such as inadequate funding and space, difficulties in accessing information materials, and poor infrastructure, and poor collection management and management of prison by non-professionals, among others were examined. This training introduced the large-scale approach to describing multi-page digital compound objects. It was developed to disambiguate and clarify the new approach of describing compound objects in Project client/ContentDm. The training focused on important metadata fields, provided practical examples and instructed student assistants and staff how to apply the new rules consistently across all collections. The training session was followed by hands-on activities and discussion.
