Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has changed the landscape of various institutions of learning. This study is on the impact of ICT on the study habit of students of Iganmode Grammar School Ota. The research revealed a positive significant relationship between the use of ICT and improved study habits of students. However, the work discovered that the available facilities are not sufficient for the students. A total of 156(32.7%) of the total respondents engage ICT for reading various materials through the internet while 152 (31.9%) use it to compare lesson notes. The analysed the research publications contributions of the LIS researchers in DJLIT (DESIDOC Journal of Library and Information technology) during 2011-2017. The total no. 419bibliographical records were retrieved from DJLIT website during the period of study. The result of the study observed that Maximum of 70 papers was brought out in the year 2012. It followed by 66 papers published in 2013. The study found that DJLIT productivity range of publications between 12.17 and 16.76 over the period of study. Designed for undergraduates but applicable for anyone, this handout consolidates file organization best practices from a variety of Purdue Library Guides. Page one includes tips for organizing coursework and file naming convention guidelines in a simple, easy-to-read format. Page two includes a template for file directory organization, and an exercise for students to create their own directory structure. These file organization guidelines are also intended as an introduction to the foundational principles of data management.

The objective of the paper is to find out the flow of the New York Times newspaper information in scholarly publication during 2001-2010. New York Times is considered for the present study since it is the most highly cited English newspaper indexed in Web of Science. During the study period there were 13600 records with 14764 citations in different scholarly publications. The citation of the New York Times in scholarly publications increased gradually from 2005 onwards. Leadership And Innovation Within A Complex Adaptive System: Public Libraries, Darin S. Freeburg

Viewing public libraries as Complex Adaptive Systems, the current study analyzed leadership within these systems in terms of complexity and innovation. This included a leader’s capacity for ambiguity and emergence, features of leadership in different contexts, and perceptions of success and innovation. From a list of current public library directors and managers, 15 participants completed a 30-minute phone interview that followed a semi-structured guide. By analyzing the intersection of complexity of approach with complexity of context, eight leadership approaches were uncovered through coding. Results suggest that most participants engaged with most of the leadership approaches at some point. In addition, …

CALASYS is the Chinese American Librarians Association (CALA)’s academic resource and repository system. The purpose of the system is to collect, organize, and store scholarly publications, library and information science related resources created or contributed by CALA members and others in the library field. The CALASYS Committee will share the experiences of collecting data, creating metadata, and improving access to the data. The Access Services Department at Henderson library followed ALA's new initiative to make diversity, equity and inclusion an essential part of our hiring protocol at the paraprofessional level. This presentation details our recruitment policies and strategies.
Recently, ALA added equity, diversity, and inclusion to the ALA Strategic Plan and one of the 2017 emerging leader projects was (Advancing Diversity in Public Libraries). Managing Decision-Making Bias In Erp Use By Smes, Connie L. Kahler

The purpose of this study is to examine the use of ERP and outputs by six decision-makers in one SME manufacturing organization and provide artifacts targeted to improve their pricing decisions. Through elaborated action design research, we collect data to diagnosis decision-makers concerns and identify decision making biases and errors. Using insights and collaboration, we design, implement and evaluate seven artifacts targeted to minimize four biases identified – overconfidence bias, optimistic bias, planning fallacy and representativeness.

The data collected during the diagnosis phase reveals that concerns fell into three primary themes: data, human interfaces, and cognitive bias. The seven combined …

The Anchor began in 1887 and was first issued weekly in 1914. Covering national and campus news alike, Hope College’s student-run newspaper has grown over the years to encompass over two-dozen editors, reporters, and staff. For much of The Anchor's history, the latest issue was distributed across campus each Wednesday throughout the academic school year (with few exceptions). In recent years The Anchor moved to monthly print issues and a more frequently updated website. The Anchor is now published in print twice per academic semester. Occasionally, the volume and/or issue numbering is irregular.

The status signalling hypothesis aims to explain within-species variation in ornamentation by suggesting that some ornaments signal dominance status. Here, we use multilevel meta-analytic models to challenge the textbook example of this hypothesis, the black bib of male house sparrows (Passer domesticus). We conducted a systematic review, and obtained primary data from published and unpublished studies to test whether dominance rank is positively associated with bib size across studies. Contrary to previous studies, the overall effect size (i.e. meta-analytic mean) was small and uncertain.
