Increasingly clinical doctors desire and need to publish their research. As a result, the issue of open access is moving into the clinical setting. This presents unique challenges to Health Science Librarians. In addition to working alone and with very limited library budgets, Health Science Librarians must stretch their current role to include becoming an open access expert in order to educate hospital administrators and library users, while giving proper advice and guidance to authors within their institutions. Economic inequity is a pervasive aspect of the population of California State University (CSU) students. There are significant differences in the ability of our students to afford the total cost of their CSU education. Not only are they afforded less access to educational materials, but they also may be disadvantaged in knowing how to take advantage of those resources.

Presentation on how to efficiently offer EndNote instruction to students using streaming tutorials. The presenter discusses the need for asynchronous instruction to meet student needs, technology considered that did not work for this purpose, and the successful solution to this problem. The presentation includes information on software selection, usage data, a timeline for implementation, and future goals. The advantages of this "flipping the classroom" are outlined.

We fi rst came into contact with the Tippecanoe County Historical Association (TCHA) through the fall 2016 honors course “Digital Histories,” led by Dr. Jennifer Bay. Our course project was to create a digital exhibition for the TCHA with a service-learning grant provided by Purdue University. In this collaboration, we were able to put into practice the theories and processes we learned in the classroom and gain both a working knowledge of archival techniques and an understanding of the relationship between the institution and the community. This study examined the challenges of information literacy skills capacity building for the lawmakers in the South West Nigeria. Survey method was adopted for this using questionnaire as instrument for data collection. 177 legislators participated from the six states of assembly in South-West Nigeria through total enumeration to determine the number of lawmakers in the study. The questionnaire titled ``Lawmakers’ Information Literacy Skills and Constituency Performance in South-West Nigeria (LILSCP)” were distributed to responded, out of which 151 usable copies were returned to the researcher. The Anchor: 2017

The Anchor began in 1887 and was first issued weekly in 1914. Covering national and campus news alike, Hope College’s student-run newspaper has grown over the years to encompass over two-dozen editors, reporters, and staff. For much of The Anchor's history, the latest issue was distributed across campus each Wednesday throughout the academic school year (with few exceptions). In recent years The Anchor moved to monthly print issues and a more frequently updated website. The Anchor is now published in print twice per academic semester. Occasionally, the volume and/or issue numbering is irregular.

Five hundred years ago, new printing technologies created conditions that enabled the Protestant reformation and profoundly changed the world. Today, we are in the midst of a digital revolution. But what is being reformed, and what are we reforming? This session will explore the nature of our present information age and the theological questions it raises, touching on theological principles, cultural critiques, and spiritual practices that can help us reflect on digital reformation and transformation.

Representation of positive role models of all genders, races, and ethnicities is crucial for the recruitment, promotion, and retention of females in IT fields. Whether ages five or twenty-five, exposure to positive portrayals in media inspires curiosity, enhances ideas of what a career in IT could look like, and encourages young women to explore this field in school. Fiction, non-fiction, and biographical texts can highlight careers and social impacts while debunking myths, stigmas, and misconceptions about females in IT.
