From June 2010 until the present, a suite of online reusable learning objects (RLOs) has been created at the Institute of Technology Tallaght (ITT Dublin) library covering a range of information literacy (IL) competencies. These RLOs have helped to facilitate student transition from second to third level, advance IL and enrich the student learning experience. Librarianship Is Neat!, Celia M. Hartz Feb 2014

Librarianship Is Neat!, Celia M. Hartz

Blogging the Library

I’ve got a few weeks under my belt now with this Internship and so far, so good. I’ll be totally honestly though, when I first started every time someone came near the desk I got a little nervous because after 3.5 years I thought I knew my way around the Library; nope. BUT, now with three weeks of perusing research guides, databases, asking a zillion questions and rereading everything in my training guide approximately three times, I feel confident that I can be helpful, and that’s great! Fortenbaugh Music Intern, First Post Of The Semester, Alexander K. Schweizer

Blogging the Library

As the Fortenbaugh Music Library Intern, I will be working on several projects throughout the semester. I plan to use the skills that I acquire during this internship when I am a band director, and need to know how to catalog and easily access music. Currently, I am researching euphonium repertoire (both audio recordings and physical sheet music) to potentially add to the large collection of scores and CDs already in the Musselman Music Library. The Anchor, Volume 127.16: February 05, 2014, Hope College

The Anchor: 2014

The Anchor began in 1887 and was first issued weekly in 1914. Covering national and campus news alike, Hope College’s student-run newspaper has grown over the years to encompass over two-dozen editors, reporters, and staff. For much of The Anchor's history, the latest issue was distributed across campus each Wednesday throughout the academic school year (with few exceptions). In recent years The Anchor moved to monthly print issues and a more frequently updated website. The Anchor is now published in print twice per academic semester. Occasionally, the volume and/or issue numbering is irregular.

This presentation will explore the development of PURR including its service definition and design, …
